Chic Dog Decor Finds New Home

Tanner and Oliver  Give Obama Beds
Two Paws Up

Thanks to our Bo Obama visit, we've had a few nice things to give away recently, compliments of chic pet products from HomeGoods. If you are one of the lucky ones today, I hope you'll be sure to stop by their Facebook page and thank them for this All Things Dog Blog promotion. We sure did have fun imagining and planning the whole experience of receiving such a prominent visitor.

In addition to preparing for Bo's overnighter with activities and new adventures, HomeGoods provided a shopping experience that allowed us to create a cozy den for the boys to hang out in. Our plan was to convince the 'rents (aka President and Mrs. Obama) to adopt Bo a housemate to keep him company during those times when mom, dad and the girls are all away from the White House and poor Bo is left alone, only to be walked by White House staff.

Oliver offered some great tips on selecting just the right pup to be Bo's new best bud and we shopped for a color-coordinated bed to go with Bo's. Both, of course, were parti-colored, just like Bo. This was some seriously important planning, ya know?!!

Toy Box and Shampoo Go to a Bigger Fido
Once we were prepared for snuggling in, we also had to pick up appropriate toys and other necessities. A toy box was selected to hold the items that Bo and his new companion would use while enjoying time at our home. And of course, we couldn't send Bo home without assuring he was smelling fresh and looking good after his visit. Shampoo was another must-have.

Today, we're giving the bed away to one lucky small dog owner--Hannah C. We're hopeful that Hannah will provide a thank you note that includes a photo of her pup on the bed that was selected especially for Bo Obama's companion. Pretty special, don't you think?

I hope you all enjoyed this and our other giveaways of HomeGoods products. You'll find that most suburban areas have a HomeGoods store nearby that stocks a nice selection of all your pet's important needs. Check it out and enjoy the journey to savings :)

Before you leave All Things Dog Blog, I would encourage you to visit our Fido's Freebie Friday 24/7 collection of giveaways. You're sure to find something useful and fun for yourself or your pets in this ongoing event that refreshes with a new collection each week.

The toy basket and shampoo were designated for a medium to large dog, and the winner of that prize is Linda S. Notifications will go out tomorrow to my winners. Watch for an email from AllThingsDogBlog@gmail.com. If you don't see one by noon, please check your spam file or email me your shipping information. Congratulations!

Happy tails,

The items in this giveaways were provided for a promotional event we did for HomeGoods. I am giving these items away to my readers as further promo for HomeGoods. I was not paid to promote HomeGoods; however I did have the opportunity to retain a couple of the products that were acquired for our Bo Obama promotion.

Charming Dog Supplies Giveaway

Firm Support with Mattress Frame
My little Oliver, that 9 lb. Papillon in the photo, is showing off a chic bed found at our local HomeGoods. Their selection of pet products will surprise you with everything for Fido or Fifi imaginable. This store has become one of my go to sources for picking up odds and ends that Tanner and Oliver need from time to time.

In fact, I recently located a nice batch of football toys for next year's Super Dog Sunday™, so be prepared to jump in and win one of those at the beginning of football season in the fall. As Oliver always say, "The Pack will be back!"  BOL!

So, it's time to give away that cute bed for your smaller dog. I'd say it will easily fit a dog up to 25 lbs, as it is plenty long for Oliver to stretch out and lay down on, with room to spare.

We Need to Fill this Basket, Mom

Shall we toss in another fun HomeGoods product for our larger Fidos? Yeah, no discrimination here. Oliver hates it when we crack 'short' jokes, so we'll be fair. I sent Tanner to retrieve something and he returned with a toy box and a bottle of "Bad Boy" shampoo, very appropriate for my dog who rolled in the dirt at the dog park yesterday. Yuck! Thank goodness I keep some clean up supplies in the back of the car!

Entries will be accepted via the Rafflecopter at the bottom through midnite, Thursday, March 21. If the widget is playing hide-n-seek, just click on the post title above to get it to come out and play nicely. Good luck to you all.

Let me know what you think about these nice products, and have fun with the giveaway. We love playing Santa!

Happy tails,

HomeGoods provided these prizes as a part of our promotion for our Bo Obama visit. We are now giving them away to you! I have not been compensated to facilitate this giveaway, although I did receive a couple of items that will stay with us permanently.

Pet Toy Winners: Thx HomeGoods!

by Carrie Boyko, CEB

So Many Toys. So Little Time.

Our collection of dog toys from HomeGoods has been a big hit. Thanks for your enthusiastic entries and great comments. It seems that there is quite a variety in dog preferences for playthings. To each his own, right?

The toys in this selection were chosen to entertain our celebrity visitor, Bo Obama. Each had its own meaning. For example, the fish represented our living on a lake and Tanner's fun story of catching a fish.  The Flappy fetch toy is in the University of Florida colors, perfect for a fetching dog's fun game.

Of course, every Retriever loves ducks. They live for the chance to do what their DNA has programmed them for--retrieve a downed duck. Our selection has a duck included.

The black and white loofa dog represents Bo, the Furst Dog that just happens to be parti-colored just like this toy.

Padlock Treat Toy
Sweet and soft, the lamb toy is lightweight and easy for even tiny Oliver to pickup and take along on a romping good run through the house. But during quiet, crate time, the blue padlock holds treats that can be dug out in an enjoyable fetch session of a different kind.

Congratulations to our winners H. Bridson, R. Weitzel, A. Galanos, Tamra H., M. Rozak and A. Sovko. You'll each hear from me via my AllThingsDogBlog@gmail.com email. I'll need your mailing address in order to get your prizes out quickly next week. Watch your email and check your spam if you do not see it by this evening. Have a wonderful weekend and be sure to check out Fido's Freebie Friday to see what else you can enter to win. We hope to see you at #SuperDogPics on Sunday afternoon at 4 PM ET. Don't forget to RSVP at the link to be eligible to win prizes. Happy tails,

Training Resource Pack

Stop me before I drive myself crazy with the football references. I'm dreaming touchdowns now! Super Dog Sunday™ and #SuperDogPics has certainly got me kicking field goals. There I go again!

We're here to announce this week's winners of our Training Resources Gift Pack and the Treats from HomeGoods. Thanks to all of you who joined in. Did you notice there is now a HomeGoods toy giveaway? They do a nice job keeping the assortment fresh at our local store.

I was pleasantly surprised at how many of you got involved in Tweeting for the training package. This is a nice batch of helpful resources including training CDs, a Tellington Touch DVD and a book on dog personalities and color. That last one should be quite interesting to Katie Mitchell, our winner. I hope to hear back on what she learns about her 3 dogs.

Treats from HomeGoods
The HomeGoods winners each get a bag of treats, and our last draw also grabs an airtight storage container to keep Fido's treat fresh and ready to serve. It's cute too! Congratulations to Anne W., Joanne G, Brittany C., and Michelle D. Michelle is the lucky winner of the treat container in the photo. You'll each hear from me via AllThingsDogBlog@gmail.com. Watch your spam file if my email does not arrive by tonight. While you're waiting, you may want to check out the plethora of great giveaways at Fido's Freebie Friday. Wow!

Bone Basket: A Reader Favorite
Needless to say HomeGoods made a customer out of me after taking this HomeGoods Pet Blogger Challenge. I've been back to purchase a number of my favorite items, while still pondering others that will probably end up under the Christmas tree for either pets or family. 'Very impressed' doesn't quite do it in terms of a description of my impression. I just had no clue this store had any--much less such awesome--pet stuff.
Going back through all the comments on the blog, Facebook and Twitter, I think the bone-shaped basket got the most attention. It is remarkably low-priced, so feel free to hit your local HomeGoods and clean them out!

No Pink for My Boys!
As much as I would love to add the cute pink outfit to Oliver's closet, I can assure you there would considerable balking at that idea from my hubby and family. Bummer; itsn't it adorable?!!

Love this Doormat
I did return to the store to pick up the doormat at the left, but unfortunately had to take a second choice, as the one shown here was already sold out. There's a lesson in that experience. When in stock, BUY NOW!  With that said, I'd like to announce the winners of the two $50 Gift Cards. You will each be contacted via my AllThingsDogBlog@gmail.com reader email sometime tonight or tomorrow. If you see this first, feel free to send your address to me at this email. Congratulations to Elizabeth Boese and Thomas Murphy, two names I've never seen here on the blog before this HomeGoods review. Welcome aboard; we hope to see more of you!

Happy tails,

This review and giveaway was sponsored by HomeGoods as a promotion. I was given a small budget to share some of my finds with you, as I created a getaway for Bo Obama. I was not paid to review their store and the comments both here and on previous posts are my own. No purchase was required to enter this giveaway.
