Jade
An Adoptable Dog in Ft. Collins, CO
I gotta say this one melted my heart. Thanks to Jade's submitter for finding her. If  you would like to help Jade, tell someone or share her story at the link. Make a donation to Petfinder foundation if you are so inclined. It will make you feel sooooo good. Jade with thank you!

Are you recognizing the photo prop footballs in these pictures? I had them made to assist would-be participants with theming their photos. I think I got just a tad bit carried away and still have a collection to unload. I'm thinking maybe a school, daycare or a homeless shelter where children stay will be able to put them to good use.

It has been fun watching the football show up in so many of your photos. Thanks for using them!

Olivia Liked this Display at the Grocer
Olivia's photo was a rather clever creation by the grocery stockers. Did you notice the football at the top center that is made out of cases of drinks. I got a tickle out of Olivia's owner's message. She wanted me to know that Olivia is not a spokesdog for Pepsi!

This is Rufio

Now this fella definitely looks like linebacker, or maybe a tough coach! Rufio is a Neopolitan Mastiff, one of biggest couch potatoes on the planet. I've known a few, and loved them. But they are big. Did I mention they are large? Yup!

Schooner  Put Up Good Fuss
Over Wearing this Jersey

Finally, Schooner allowed his mom to take a shot of him wearing his jersey. She has put quite a bit of work into getting Schooner to cooperate. Clothing is not one of his favorite ways to have fun. I gotta say, "Schooner, you wear it well!"

Once again, don't forget to check in with Dogtipper to see their posts of Super Dog Sunday photos. We've split the submissions to share with you from both blogs. If you're a night owl or are out on the west coast, you still have nearly 8 hours until the Blog Hop opens at 8 AM EST on Sunday morning. At that time, you'll be able to see all the photos in one place. Some will be cropped, so feel free to click on the pics to visit our posts and read the write ups or see the whole photo. Thanks for joining us, and feel free to stop by Petfinder Foundation and leave a little something behind for your fun.

Give Petfinder Your Giveaway Today!

by Carrie Boyko, CEB
I have to admit I'm not text savvy. I can write a Tweet and plug it into Hootsuite, no problem. But give me a cell phone and I'm all thumbs. I seem to go back and forth from T9 to alpha to numeric without wanting to, and, well, it's just not pretty. Ask my kids! They'll be glad to complain about my texting.

But this short text donation was as easy as can be. If I can do it, any of you can. And after all, finding a few ways to save 10 bucks is not that hard.

My Dinosaur
Maybe you're thinking I've got a smart phone and have not yet figured it out. Not so. Actually, I have a dumb phone. Or is it stupid? Either way, it's just a basic cell phone that makes and receives calls and texts. While it has web capability, I've never used it. I'm online enough, don't you think? I certainly don't need to be online when I leave the house to walk the dogs, shuttle your prizes to the Post Office, or most certainly not when I'm at the grocery store.

So today I tested this $10 text. I guess I'll find out next month if it worked. My phone bill will be my proof. Now it's your turn!

Super Dog Sunday™ is a Charity benefit to support Petfinder Foundation in their work to help homeless pets find forever families. Super Dog Sunday™: Charity, Photos, Rescue, Prizes, & More!

by Carrie Boyko, CEB

Who remembers last year's Super Dog Sunday™? It was nothing more than a fun, football-themed photo blog hop, and we sure did have a great time. This year, I've got lots of help. Dogtipper has signed on to co-host and we will be bringing you much, much more. Today's post is simply a cameo sketch of the event. I'll add details in the coming days and weeks.
  • Petfinder's Foundation will get a nice chunk of change from our sponsors, to be highlighted as we move along closer to the big day. All proceeds from Super Dog Sunday™ go to the Petfinder Foundation; this is a no profit event for All Things Dog Blog and our partner, Dogtipper.
  • More for Bloggers this year: We know you are an integral part of this event. We want to make sure you get what you deserve from it. You'll be able to highlight Petfinder adoptable pets, submit your own pets' photos and win prizes for participation. Learn more in coming posts.
  • Photo Contest: Football-themed dog pics will be the highlight of our day on February 5, 2012. Lots of help will be coming!
  • Prizes for Photos--Yup! You read that right. This year our sponsors will be sharing their great products with you. There will be a multitude of ways to win, so don't miss a single post. Grab your free subscription right now at the dog house subscription box in the middle sidebar.
  • Blog Hop fun: Our readers will have the opportunity to visit each of the participating blogs to check out the entries in full-size. All photos will be submitted with some sort of football theme added, whether it be a simple frame or a full costume and scene with Fido included. Pets and Petfinder adoptable pets can participate, allowing you to highlight a pet in need of a forever home, as well as your own pets.
  • Blogger Participation Prizes: Share the linky list on your blog and you'll be entered to win additional prizes and free ads on Dogtipper and All Things Dog Blog.
  • Comment to win: Prizes will also be drawn from comments, so be sure to get into the conversation during the Blog Hop!
  • Bonus Photo-Theming "How-to" Event: If you missed #SafeHowlOween or #BarkFriday, now you'll have another Twitter Party opportunity. The theme this time: Photo tips and tricks plus prizes, of course! Watch for more on this event coming soon.
To learn more about who the sponsors are, what prizes will be given away, and how all of this will work, stay tuned here at All Things Dog Blog, and over at Dogtipper, for our continuous coverage of all the Super Dog Sunday™ events, how-to's and giveaways.
