One of the goals of Super Dog Sunday™ is to shine a light on pet rescue by offering our entrants the opportunity to share Petfinder adoptable pets in a fun, creative way. Thanks to our Cheer Team members who provided many of the adoptable entries.

It's about that time. The judges' decisions have been received. There are always some surprises :) The envelope please!

Each of our winners will receive a prize package of goodies from Toby and Max jewelry, Arenus pet botanicals, Nature's Logic all-natural dog food, Luv and Emma dry pet towels, Life+Dog magazine and Event Barkers surprises, along with a few other goodies.  The Best All-Around winner will receive additional prizes to bring their package to a $250 value. Wowzer for Bowser!

Super Dog Sunday™ Post Game Show

Who let the dogs out? Pet photographers and Petfinder volunteers came out in scores this weekend to share their football-themed photos at the Super Dog Sunday™ event to help Petfinder Foundation with their work in shelters. Event Barkers' Super Dog Sunday™ was definitely a close game, even as the power outage and TV game was, with photo submissions setting the bar high. 

Entries began even before our #SuperDogPics Twitter Party on January 20, in which we shared photo tips, ideas for decking out Petfinder pictures, along with camera and editing help. Thanks so much to DogTipper and Ryan of Life+Dog magazine for their expert information in this area.

While our judges are wrapping up their decisions, DogTipper and All Things Dog Blog would like to share the show in a larger format. Below you'll see half of the submissions, while the other half will be shared at Dogtipper.com. Be sure to watch both segments to enjoy the full variety of our many fun photos.

Watch for announcements around noon Monday, reporting winners and prize information. Now that #SuperDogPics is behind us we're seeing a nice surge in photo entries for the photo contest hosted by your Event Barkers Team: AllThingsDogBlog.com and Dogtipper.com.  Just for fun I thought you may enjoy looking back at some of last year's pics. Super Dog Sunday™ has Kick Off!

As we anticipate the pre-game show, the Puppy Bowl, the commercials and let's not forget the beer and chips, there will still also be Super Dog Sunday™. This photo contest is football-themed and all of your pets are invited. How to enter? Send your pet's football-themed photo to EventBarkers@gmail.com. If you're a blogger, you can post your photo to your own site and then link up at the blog hop using the entry form below. 

The entries will be open through kick off time on Sunday, February 3. At that time we'll close the entries and our judges will get to work. We expect they'll be deliberating well into the night so anticipate a late Monday post with winners announcements.

But wait! you'll want to see all the photos in full size, right? Of course! We'll be sharing a photo slideshow on All Things Dog Blog and on DogTipper to open on Monday, February 4. You'll be able to see half the entries on each of our sites. Don't forget to check these out!

Super Dog Sunday™ 2013 Rules

Just like football, photo contests have their rules. It makes for a level playing field where we can all enjoy the game. Here are the rules for Super Dog Sunday™ 2012:

1. Only photos of pets will be accepted. No humans please.
2. All entries must have some type of football theme as a part of the image.
3. Limit one entry per pet.
4. Entries from the U.S. and Canada, except Quebec, will be eligible to win prizes. Because of shipping regulations regarding pet food, treat winnings by Canadians will be left behind :(.
5. Large images must be submitted to assure our ability to share in a slideshow: 400 px please.
6. By submitting your photo, you agree that the photo was taken by you and is owned by you. No professional images taken by others can be accepted for copyright reasons. Please read additional details at our Giveaway and Contest Rules page.
7. All entries must be linked up by a blogger who has posted the photo on their site, OR emailed to EventBarkers@gmail.com for posting by Dogtipper.com and AllThingsDogBlog.com. When Petfinder adoptable pets are submitted, please include their profile url for the pet's Petfinder profile page, along with the pet's name and city/state location.
8. Please include your name and your dog's name for identification of winners. Only your dog's name will be displayed on the blog. If there is a duplication in dog names, your initials may be used as additional identification. For example, "C.B.'s Tanner".
9. Our judges' selection decisions are final. 
10. This contest is void where prohibited by law and entries from such areas will not be considered.
11. Entries will close at kick off on Sunday, February 3, about 6 PM ET.

12. Winners will be announced on Monday, February 4, 2012 at both Dogtipper and All Things Dog Blog. Each winner will receive a communication from EventBarkers@gmail.com on Monday notifying them of their prize. Your prompt reply with shipping information is requested. Please check your spam if you do not find an email and believe you are a winner. There may be other questions in your email to answer regarding sizing, so read carefully and submit all answers as quickly as you can.
