Angel in a Fur Coat is a fiction fantasy book about dogs written for ages 7-11 and has been very successful with adults as well. They begin as angels with an everlasting dream to be a person's best friend. The dogs go to school to learn how to be dogs on Earth. They learn about various dog breeds and different dog jobs and when they graduate they get their fur coat and are born on Earth as dogs to find the person they were made for. The story explores the wonderful world of dogs through the eyes of one special little angel who bares the mark of a legend. Unleash the prophecy and let the Legend of the Pink Toe begin with Book two in the series.

I know you enjoyed this video about Skidboot's life. He's been around for a while and is slowing down, but still able to keep on keepin' on. This reminds me a bit of Xena and I'd like to offer a toy giveaway in honor of Xena and Skidboot--two senior dogs that didn't let anything stop them from what they enjoyed.


Xena's all time favorite toy was a sock. Sounds strange, but she always had a sock tucked away in every hiding place around the house. So we've designed a sock toy to honor Xena. Assistance Dog Stories Draw Tremendous Interest

Well, you guys sure did blow me away with the comments about this book review. Obviously I've found your soft spot. My review of Two Plus Four Equals One brought dozens of comments through the blog, Facebook, and even Twitter. Thank you all for your gracious comments. The book's author, Kathy Nimmer, enjoyed your enthusiasm immensely, as did I.

Kathy Nimmer is an award-winning teacher, author, and motivational speaker from Indiana. In 2006, she won first place in the Helen Keller International Memoir Competition and published a book of poetry called Minutes in the Dark, Eternity in the Light. She received the Butler-Cooley Excellence in Teaching Award in 2004, is a two-time recipient of the Lilly Teacher Creativity Fellowship, earned National Board Certification in 2003, and was presented with the Golden Apple in 1998. In 2009, she was named a Lilly Distinguished Fellow, giving her the opportunity to pursue a lifelong dream, the fulfillment
of which is Two Plus Four Equals One.
