I encourage you to read daily to your children for as long as they will allow it. I'm convinced that this practice has been a significant part of many children's success in reading and education.

For the Love of Dogs

With my connections in publishing, I sometimes have the opportunity to pick up children's books, or even the occasional adult dog books. I like sharing these with my readers so that they can help their children grow to love dogs and reading, two of my favorite things.

Today we're opening a giveaway of 3 copies of a hardback children's book: For the Love of Dogs, An A-to-Z Primer for Dog Lovers of All Ages, written by Allison Weiss Entrekin and Illustrated by Mark Anderson. The watercolor illustrations are adorable and the book includes a foreword by Victoria Stilwell. It's a beautiful gift book for a child in your life, or the perfect read aloud for your own youngster, bursting with fun associations with each of the letters of the alphabet.
