Great Read Alouds for Kids and Dogs Alike
These 4 storybooks about dogs are ideal for reading aloud. With large, beautiful illustrations, children's imaginations will grow and they will begin to love dogs as much as you and I. I encourage you to read daily to your children for as long as they will allow it. I'm convinced that this practice has been a significant part of many children's success in reading and education.

The stories in this collection include Skippyjon Jones and the Big Bones, My Big Dog, Zoomer and Always in Trouble. If you'd prefer instant access to any of these stories online--they're dirt cheap--just click the link and you can order them from Amazon. Otherwise, I invite you to enter to win them here. Four winners will each receive 1 book for their child.

As always our Rafflecopter may being playing dead. All you have to do to revive it is click on the post title. It's like CPR for Rafflecopters :)  You'll be free to enter through Thursday, August 15 and winners will be announced on Friday, August 16. Good luck!

These children's dog stories were purchased by me at my own expense. I encourage you to read to your children, grandchildren and any child in your life. Reading is an acquired skill that gets better with practice, even when read aloud by an adult. Enjoy!

Skippyjon Jones appeals to me. We love Skippyjon in our classroom. We'd love to have this to add to our classroom.

I like Always in Trouble because I think the kids would find it funny ready about all the trouble the dog gets into. I also like that it teaches the importance of dog training.

Always in Trouble with Toby the dog. For my niece and her dog. I hear he chews her toys a lot.

The book title Zoomer appeals to me the most because Zoomer reminds me of my sweet dog who is always busy, busy, busy.

The book Zoomer is most appealing, because it looks like a cute read about a dog with a very adventurous spirit. My pups have wild and curious personalities too. I could also use this book to take with me for kids to read to my TD when we visit with kids.

I am most interested in My Big Dog. Children's books that are funny are the kind my grandchildren like the most and are the ones I enjoy reading the most.

I would say "My Big Dog" appeals to me the most, in particular because it is a Golden book. I remember reading those when I was a kid. Thanks!

I had never thought to read to my dog before. That is a good idea. I knew they had dog videos. My dogs are my kids and they do act like humans :)
