PetnShape Treats Attract Major Attention

I'm going to have to give the All Things Dog Blog Treat Review Team a raise. This most recent review of the Pet n Shape Liver treats with fruits and veggies was a big hit. I was pleased to see my regulars file out in good form and also excited that many new visitors showed up to check this out. Welcome!

Tanner Goes Solo

With 8 bags at stake, I guess this giveaway  was particularly exciting. Perhaps the company will notice that this kind of exposure really works well to drive sales. If you didn't win a bag today, be sure to do two things that will encourage more giveaways and product reviews at sites like this one.  


First, stop by Pet n Shape's Facebook page and thank them for the giveaway. Then track down a store that carries them, or even purchase a bag online. You can use their locator at this link, for finding online retailers as well as brick and mortar stores. I tested it and located a bazillian (is that really a word?) stores in my area, so no problem with locating the product. I also checked Amazon and found them at this link in the flavor we reviewed, with all other flavors available at a quick click. Isn't that easy! We do aim to please.

Pet 'n Shape for Healthy Snacking

While you may not have seen much of the Treat Review Team lately, they have been busy providing input. For a while, we had so much to review that I was worried about their waistlines. Fortunately it is the New Year and we're now focusing on that--more exercise and a healthier twist to our snacks.

When fresh snacks are not always in stock in the fridge, it's nice to have something with a shelf life around to take up the slack. Many of the packaged treats you'll find at pet stores are lacking in healthfulness, while overloaded in calories. Just as you would for your own choices, be sure to read the label and be conscious of the nutritional value you are purchasing.

Today's product review, Pet 'n Shape, has some features that are hard to say no to. Just three ingredients on the list is always a good sign of a less-processed snack. For example, the flavor we tested is Chicken Liver + Peas and Carrots. You probably guessed that they are high in protein--50% of the treat's nutritional makeup is protein. The veggies add a hearty 5.5 % fiber to encourage healthy digestion. As with all treats, always be sure your pup has access to fresh water when when serving.

These tiny treats are perfect for training and rewarding;  break apart easily for the tiniest of pups, and they are small enough that you won't need to worry that they will pad your pup's belly. They're also made without added junk like food coloring, preservatives, or additives of any kind. You know that's all I will recommend here, right?

Dog Treat Review: Nature Nosh Scores Big with Treat Review Team

The results are in and our Treat Review Team has sent 2 Paws Up for Nature Nosh's USDA Organic treats. We especially enjoyed that they were not your typical, chicken, liver and beef flavors. After all, our pups deserve a little variety, even though we may know too much variety isn't good for our fido's tummies. 


While Beef  Liver "Wellington" was certainly a hit, the Chicken Liver Parmesan made my boys' eyes light up, and Pumpkin Pie was certain to pair well with Thanksgiving's Best for a November special-occasion treat. Wow! I could have noshed on the Pumpkin Pie flavored treats; they smelled delish.


One interesting point is the availability of USDA Organic liver. It's tough to source and Nature Nosh is proud to be one of few that are able to sport this USDA Organic logo on a liver-based treat that is made in the U.S. That's a lot of safe, healthy ingredients built right in for your Fido.


One additional perk that appealed to me was that despite there being no artificial preservatives, the product has a great shelf life, prompted by the addition of mixed Tocopherols (a form of vitamin E often used as a healthy preservative in natural foods). I loved seeing the expiration date on each bag and knowing that my pups had a long, long time to finish them if needed.

Sounds good, huh? I love that there is nothing lurking in these yummies to leave toxins in my best furry friends. And apparently, the dogs sensed this too. There were no hesitant looks or reluctant munchers. It was chow down--across the board.

When I brought the bags out to let Tanner and Oliver take a whiff, I immediately had 2 eager photo models. I've got them trained now. When they see the camera and a product come out, it's definitely time to behave and practice their "Stay". It's a clear signal that they'll be getting some rewards for good behavior and these treats were major motivation.
