5 Winners!

This book giveaway will have a little twist to it. The two titles you see at left in the photo are terrific Mothers Day gifts. It's coming up soon, so why not give Mom something to snuggle up with on a rainy day.

You'll find a review of Your Dog's Golden Years here on All Things Dog Blog, so check it out if you think it's of interest. This book has tons of helpful information for senior dogs.

In addition to gifts for mom, the Paws and Claws Pet School is a video game for kids of all ages to learn more about dog behavior and training. With tips on obedience, agility, stunts, movie making and even horse training, your kids will have a blast caring for and training their chosen best friend to do amazing jobs.

Kids can pick the pet they wish to train and customize his look with over 1,000 outfits, so prepare to enjoy some variety and a tremendous amount of learning potential. This is one video game that will benefit your kids in their relationships with dogs--yours and others.

Three copies of the Pet School game are included in this giveaway which totals 5 items. One item will go to each winner. The winners will be selected from entries in the Rafflecopter form below. If it's hiding from view, just call it out by clicking on the post title above and it will reappear.

Entries will be accepted through Thursday, May 9, and winners will be announced on Friday evening, May 10. Good luck!

The Books Have Survived Unscathed!

Dog-loving readers are flocking to All Things Dog Blog to win some great books. This week's 3 winners will get a free copy of What the Dog Ate by Jackie Bouchard, courtesy of the miracles of Twitter search. I drew a list of Tweets at Tweetreach.com and Random.org selected the following winners: @HappyLadyBooks, @rlweitzel, and @high_volzage. These Twitter users will receive a DM to send their address to AllThingsDogBlog@gmail.com. Congratulations!

In my giveaway post I asked readers what their dogs have eaten. The comments are quite entertaining; I highly suggest you go get a good laugh here.

Not a winner this time? It's okay! Amazon's book department will be happy to ship you a copy pronto. Just click this link and off you'll go, right to the page you need to order. You can also purchase e-copies at Amazon, iTunes, Barnes & Noble and Smashwords, and the book is also available in paperback at CreateSpace. Plenty of options!

This giveaway of What the Dog Ate was provided by Jackie Bouchard as a promotional courtesy. I was not paid to highlight the book or run the giveaway. No purchase was required to enter.

Dog Poetry is Rescued
by Four Big Readers

by Carrie Boyko, CEB

Storytime Anyone?
Reading is so much a part of life that I get great joy from giving away dog books for my visitors to share with their kids, grandkids, students and neighbors. My grown children still tell me that some of their best childhood memories are of reading with mom and dad.

Today's giveaway is for youngsters who enjoy poetry. The illustrations in these books will help bring young imaginations to life. I hope the new owners will enjoy these books and share them with others as well.

The winners are Elsie, Tammy1409, Sharon Gilbert, and Christina Jackson. Those of you who have not already received an All Things Dog Blog bandana for your dog may do so by replying to my announcement email (coming soon) with your dog's weight and breed. I'll send the appropriate size along with your book.

Now it's my turn to ask for a favor. Please send pictures of your dog in his bandana. I love sharing and am busy collecting pics for a slideshow. We don't want your Fido left out. Happy tails!

Parents, grandparents and teachers have all taken to following my dog book giveaways for kids, and I couldn't be more happy about that. As a parent of 3 all-grown-up readers I'm proud to look back and know that I played a part in forming this great lifetime habit by regularly reading aloud to my kids. There's nothing better than a good dog book to get your child's imagination working. It does my heart good to see your interest.

Today's books are boxed sets of a series called the Buddy Files. These mysteries were profiled at the announcement post. Based on the number of entries, I'd say they were a big hit. The publisher and the author have been watching and are happy to see your enthusiasm as well. Thank you all for working hard to raise readers.

Before we give out the winners' names, I'd like to once again share the links to the teachers' guides and the free coloring pages. I hope these will be helpful and enjoyable resources for you all. If you're not among the winners, you can follow the links here to purchase your own copies online through Amazon:

Let's get on with announcing the winners. Each of you will receive a boxed set with all 5 of the existing titles. Watch for book #6 to be released next March. You can pre-order your copy at the link above. Today's lucky dog mystery lovers are Samantha, katKiley, and Kelly Ann T.

You'll receive an email from my AllThingsDogBlog@gmail.com account. I look forward to your reply with address and phone number for shipping. Please place this email address in your contacts so that my notice will not end up in your spam. Congratulations again!

Full disclosure: The publisher of The Buddy Files provided this profile of their books along with this promotional giveaway for you. There was no sample involved and no purchase necessary to win.

A Dog's Purpose:
Giveaway Winners Named

Rory Shares her Love for Today's Giveaway
You guys did a great job of showing the print publishing industry that book readers are alive and well! I was pleased to see the enthusiasm for winning an adult book. Great work!

Next week I'm going back to kids books, so if your children, grandchildren, nephew and nieces or students love dog stories, you know where to enter to win them. Today's celebration, however, is about adults reading and this is very important. When we read in front of the children in our lives, we set an important example for them, and one that will often make the difference between kids who grow up loving to read and ones who find it a chore.

Let's see what Random.org has to tell us about the winners of this giveaway. With 110 entries, this should be an interesting drawing. Here are the names of the winners: Diana Russell, Cynthia Downer, and Ashley C. You will each receive an email from AllThingsDogBlog@gmail.com requesting your address for shipping. Be sure to reply quickly to assure you get your book soon. I know you will all enjoy it as much as I did. Be sure to report back and let us know what you thought. Happy tails!

Full disclosure: The publisher provided 3 copies of this book as a promotional giveaway. I read and reviewed the book and gave my honest opinion. No purchase was necessary to enter or win this drawing and I was not compensated to do this review.
