A Dog's Purpose:
Giveaway Winners Named

You guys did a great job of showing the print publishing industry that book readers are alive and well! I was pleased to see the enthusiasm for winning an adult book. Great work!

Next week I'm going back to kids books, so if your children, grandchildren, nephew and nieces or students love dog stories, you know where to enter to win them. Today's celebration, however, is about adults reading and this is very important. When we read in front of the children in our lives, we set an important example for them, and one that will often make the difference between kids who grow up loving to read and ones who find it a chore.

Let's see what Random.org has to tell us about the winners of this giveaway. With 110 entries, this should be an interesting drawing. All Things Dog Blog's Weekly Preview

I'm on a high this week, compliments of the recent pet blogging conference I attended. So many ideas; so little time. This post is simply to share some of the upcoming posts. Hope you'll return to check them out as we go through the week:

Pup Profiles will introduce you to a reader's dog today. Is he yours?
Dr. Mark has some interesting insight on the spay/neuter conundrum and dogs' hormones--great questions from one very astute reader.
I'm finally sharing the first of some posts on the animals I met in Thailand. Have I got an eyeful for you on Wednesday.
K9 Kamp opens Thursday, along with a batch of new reviews and giveaways, so I wouldn't miss this if I were you. K9 Kamp is a new program, hosted by Kolchak Puggle and Peggy's Pet Place, and designed to help us all get healthy and fit. And that's on top of all the prizes that will be given away. Join me for some fun activity challenges and a few tips on eating better to help us meet our goals.
Fido's Freebie Friday should be cooking with lots of fun giveaways on Friday, after bloggers get their links in on Thursday evening. Be sure to stop in and see what's new on the giveaways scene.

A Dog's Purpose Won by Reader with an Extremely Creative Dog Command

I thought I was close to hearing them all--commands, I mean--but this one really found me laughing: "Dodge Ball", for Molly, means "it's okay to eat now". Go figure! I laughed so hard at this one I had to grab a tissue. Now, that my readers, is a winner!

Congratulations to Carrie A., the owner of Molly, who is the winner of a copy of A Dog's Purpose and a Flying Disc. I hope they will both enjoy many hours of fun with their prizes.

Remember, I have to send all your photos to my judge by email and then get the big decision back for a reasonable post time on Friday morning. Somewhere in between, the judge and I both need to sleep!

Be sure to drop in Friday or Saturday to see who won. Of course, you'll also get to find out what Tanner and Oliver are dressing up as. They're remembering Xena in a very special way this Halloween. Any guesses?
