Easy Readers for K-2 Kids

Helping young readers enjoy the process of practicing and learning to read has a lot to do with giving them books that motivate them. Dog stories are very popular with young children at this stage. This giveaway is designed for kids who are just beginning to read on their own, although still with help from you. Maybe your dog can join too?

During our last giveaway, one enterprising reader sent us the photo below of her beautiful big boy, Vlad, enjoying a story read by her grandchildren. Isn't is just wonderful to imagine watching this scene unfold?!!!

With my connections in publishing, I sometimes have the opportunity to pick up children's books, or even the occasional adult dog books. I like sharing these with my readers so that they can help their children grow to love dogs and reading, two of my favorite things.

Today we're opening a giveaway of 3 copies of a hardback children's book: For the Love of Dogs, An A-to-Z Primer for Dog Lovers of All Ages, written by Allison Weiss Entrekin and Illustrated by Mark Anderson. The watercolor illustrations are adorable and the book includes a foreword by Victoria Stilwell. Dog Mysteries Generate Enthusiasm: Winners Announced Here

Parents, grandparents and teachers have all taken to following my dog book giveaways for kids, and I couldn't be more happy about that. As a parent of 3 all-grown-up readers I'm proud to look back and know that I played a part in forming this great lifetime habit by regularly reading aloud to my kids. There's nothing better than a good dog book to get your child's imagination working. It does my heart good to see your interest.

Today's books are boxed sets of a series called the Buddy Files. These mysteries were profiled at the announcement post. Based on the number of entries, I'd say they were a big hit.
