Super Dog Sunday™ Petfinder Photo Contest Draws Great Crowd

Photo contests don't get any better than this. Dogtipper and I brought out not only dogs in football themed photos, but also cats, guinea pigs, snakes and a mouse, I think. Hopefully C.D. will confirm that for me!


We want to thank our sponsors, Gringa Loka, PetHub, Tom Bihn, and Wag, for making this all possible. Their help in sweetening the pot with great prizes and a nice donation to Petfinder Foundation made this event a big deal for Dogtipper and All Things Dog Blog. We're proud to have had these great companies along for the ride.


Watch for our sponsors' prizes in the announcements tomorrow. We'll be showing off more of their great stuff in photos and naming all the winners. 

Needless to say with all that variety of species, we had a rolling good time, laughing and cheering on all the adorable furry friends. While Tanner and Oliver are not eligible for prizes, one of my cousins showed up with another Packer photo and surprised me; what fun!

Just a few more hours to go! I'm so excited, and even more so when I see the photos flowing into the email box. Here is the info you need to enter the Super Dog Sunday™ Photo Contest and Blog Hop:


Who:

Your hosts are AllThingsDogBlog.com and Dogtipper.com. Our Charity Beneficiary is PetfinderFoundation.com. All proceeds of this event go to to their work finding families for homeless animals. Click the banner to donate, or see a list of other options at the bottom of the post.

What:
The Second Annual Super Dog Sunday™ is a Charity benefit, NFL-themed Photo Contest and Blog Hop.


Where:
Dogtipper.com and AllThingsDogBlog.com will display the photos live on their sites, as they are listed. You can view from either site; bloggers can link up and share the photo images on their own sites as well. Let's share the message of Petfinder Foundation's work!


When:
Opens 8 AM ET Sunday, February 5, 2012. Email entries must be in by kickoff--6 PM ET. Bloggers may continue to link up through 9 PM ET, when the linky will close for the judges to begin deliberation. Winners and prizes in numerous categories will be announced on Monday, with a photo slideshow to share the fun show. 


How to Partipate:
You can view the photos on both sites--Dogtipper and All Things Dog Blog. Bloggers can link up through 9 PM ET to share the photo images on their own sites as well. Non bloggers who wish to submit entries must email them to EventBarkers@gmail.com by 6 PM ET for posting. Participation rules can be found here.

We encourage you to submit Petfinder adoptable pets that have been decked out with an NFL contest theme. Please see this post for more information on how to enter a Petfinder pet and become eligible for additional prize categories. You may even help a homeless pet get adopted. Learn more about prizes and categories at these two posts.


While a donation to Petfinder Foundation would be much appreciated, there is no requirement to do so in order to enter the contest. Please feel free to enter one photo per pet, and enjoy the fun.

Super Dog Sunday is a charity benefit for Petfinder Foundation. Sponsors have contributed a cash donation to Petfinder Foundation and you can help support Petfinder.com's work as well. Any amount, no matter how small, can be donated. Donation options are listed below.
