Petco Halloween Winners

by Carrie Boyko, CEB

Today is the day!  Seven lucky Halloween winners have been drawn to score costumes, sweaters and toys from Petco. What a great batch of Halloween swag!

Thanks so much to those of you who jumped right in and played our Scavenger Hunt. I was excited to see so many get the answers. Yay! I suppose it will have to get a little tougher next time; you guys are pretty good!

Up for grabs are a Taco costume--seen in the largest image above--a sweater and a hoodie, 2 cat costumes, and 2 Halloween toys for our larger Fido entrants. Each of the dog 'wearables' will also be accompanied by a Halloween toy. Sounds great, right? Let's get to it:

The orange sweater at the top right of the holiday collage will go to Evie. This cool sweater has a neato light on the eyes of the bat that's super easy to turn on and off, and is out of reach of Fido. Do wear with supervision, however. Better safe than sorry.

The brown hoodie at the lower left will go to Mallory H. and the Taco costume will be enjoyed by Julie C.'s Cockapoo. Our cat costumes (Did you guess Cleopatra and Sushi?) will go--one to each--to Danielle M. for her cat, Reese's, and Shane R. Finally, two of our large dog entrants will each receive a toy for holiday play:  Angela C. and Danielle P.

Thanks again for entering and being thorough in sharing your pet's information. Without that, I was unable to give away these size-specific prizes. I really do appreciate your support, and am glad you all had fun joining in. Please do share a photo of your pet in costume when it arrives. These will be shared on our social media sites and entered in our quarterly winners circle drawings. Watch for our third quarter announcements coming up soon.

Be sure to check out Petco's website, FacebookTwitter, and Pinterest for more costumes and fun accessories. They have a ton of great Halloween stuff!

Happy Halloween to you all,

Last night's attendees at Event Barkers' #Coupaween Twitter Party were not disappointed. Seventeen lucky winners got a $25 credit to purchase whatever they wish at Coupaw.com. And one extremely lucky Grand Prize winner also will get to adore her furry friend in the form of a custom oil painting valued at $175.

Many of these winners will opt for Halloween costumes, while others will grab treats, accessories, pet lover items and more. That's what we love about Coupaw--their variety and fantastic prices. With new deals every day, Coupaw focuses on making sure dog and cat lovers always get the best of what's out there at a great price. No treats from China, toys and products for all sizes of pets, and free shipping on most items are just a few of the reasons we love Coupaw.

#Coupaween Gets Pet Costumed and
Makes a Backup Plan

by Carrie Boyko, CEB

Ready for Rough Weather? We are!
Today you get a twofer. I'm going to run down the #Coupaween party plan for tonight as well as give you our backup plan, just in case the worst were to happen--downtime at Twitter. Don't worry, though, this has never happened!

Let's get that Rain Date out of the way: It's Wednesday, October 2--same time, same channel (Twitter!). If Twitter is down for more than 15 minutes, we'll move to our rain date to make sure we get to enjoy the whole event. And remember, Coupaw has goodies for Meow and Woof! Check out these cute cats that are ready to party:

Now let's move on to our party plan. I like to give you a heads up on which of our team handles will be doing what. This is helpful for you in deciding who to follow. Here's the rundown:

@ArdenKnowsPets:  Arden Moore will be sharing Halloween safety tips and answering your questions on this topic.
@EventBarkers:  As always, Event Barkers will be handing out the prizes and sharing some info about them and our sponsor, @Coupaw
@EBParties:  Learn more about @Coupaw, their site, variety, schedule, shipping, charity efforts, and product selection.
@DogTipper:  Get into the conversation about Halloween with DogTipper.
@AllThingsDog:  Help your dog be more comfortable in a costume with a few tips and easy ways to join in the Halloween fun.
@CatTipper:  Get some ideas for sharing your Meow's image in Halloween scenarios. You'll also see some photo sharing and we invite you to bring your photos to show off also.
@5MinutesforFido:  Oliver has been instructed to share some Halloween photos from earlier photo contests by Event Barkers. We'll see what happens, but please give him some kudos for trying.
@HollywoodDogs:  More photo sharing!  Don't forget to bring your Halloween pictures to share at the party.
@ParisandJohn:  Watch for tidbits about Arden Moore, pics of Irie and Tiki, and a Halloween recipe that you can whip up in a jiffy to keep Fido busy while you hand out candy at the door.

Finally, one last run through of the prizes: There will be 17 winners to receive a $25 Coupaw credit that they may spend on anything they wish at Coupaw.com. Our Grand Prize winner, to be announced at 9 PM ET, will receive one of these Coupaw credits along with a custom oil painting of a pet--valued at $175. Check out my post about artist Debbie Sampson to learn more.

That about covers it. Keep in mind that to win a prize at #Coupaween, you will have to be registered to receive daily deals at their site. And please don't forget to RSVP so we know you're joining us. We're drawing the winners from that list today, so don't waste any time getting over there. Now is the time to get that little detail taken care of so it doesn't get in your way. See you tonight; please come early and be sure to check in with @EventBarkers when you arrive.

by Carrie Boyko, CEB

Whether you're looking to dress up your dog or your cat this Halloween, or just want some fun toys to get your pet into the mood, Petco has your ticket. Their Halloween collection is extensive this year and I've already put our football costumes aside to make sure we're ready for future Super Dog Sunday and #SuperDogPics events.

We're going to have some fun with this giveaway. You guys get to guess what some of the prizes are. I know; I know. I got to read the labels! You're right; it's not fair, but you're the ones trying to win prizes. So jump into the Rafflecopter and have a good time. Best wishes and may the best guesser win!

Need some help with your guessing? Check out their website, FacebookTwitter, and Pinterest for hints and ideas.

Entries will continue through Thursday, October 3 with winners being announced on Friday, October 4. The prizes to be given away are: Size M orange sweater with bat, Size M costume in large block above (you get to guess!), Size S Skull and Crossbones hoodie in bottom left block, Cat costume to the right of Skull and Crossbones (guessing time again!), and a Cat costume in the vertical photo column (you guessed it; you'll be guessing). Each of the 5 winners are detailed on the Rafflecopter entry form below. Have fun!

BTW, just in case you're unfamiliar with our Rafflecopter gadget below, it sometimes plays Ding Dong Ditch. If you're looking for it and it has disappeared, just click on the post title above and it will reappear and promise to behave. Enjoy!

Bark to School Costumes for Fido

by Carrie Boyko, CEB

Back to School is always followed shortly thereafter by Halloween. In fact I think this is one of the reasons that many children find back to school to be a time to look forward to. These adorable costumes will help your pup be a part of that fun attitude, right along with your kids. The only question to ask now is what color?!

You'll soon find this colorful fashion show available on the Coupaw site, as Halloween costumes will begin running in the daily deals this week. Costumes and accessories--both for woof and meow--will be trickling out through this month and early October, giving you lots of fun opportunities to dress up your pup.

The image above is just one of many ideas we'll be sharing at the #Coupaween Twitter Party on October 1. Watch for more as this fashion show continues down the runway to the October 1 party. You can RSVP right up until party time to make sure you're ready to win.

Prefer the sure-thing method of getting your dog dressed up? And what about your kitty? Coupaw even has accessories to get your Meow into the fun, and all at discounts of up to 75% off--wow! You can go ahead on over to Coupaw now, register to receive their daily deals, and start shopping for your fave now. When you make your purchase, your shipping will be free to boot; you just can't beat these deals.

I'm lucky to have gotten a preview and my family is now fighting over which costumes for which of dog. I guess we'll see who wins that fight on October 31 :)

Check out the pre-party giveaways that you can enter now, and remember, you don't even have to be present at the event to win these. Each of these 3 events offer 2 winners a costume of your choice from Coupaw with no shipping or other charges. Since you'll be receiving your prize in the form of Coupaw credit, you can spend it on anything you like on their site, even if it's not a Halloween costume or accessory.
Don't forget, however, you'll need to be signed up for their daily deals in order to be
eligible to win:
