All This and More! 

Last night's #SuperDogPics Twitter Party was full of pros. While every game has a few Rookies, they were not evident during gametime last evening. Way to go, and congratulations to everyone who won our 10 sensational prize packages, totalling more than $1500 in value.

While our winners were all announced during the party, we'd like to recap just a bit for those of you who missed the event. But first let's be sure we properly thank our sponsors who provided all the terrific prizes and fun.

Guest experts @LifeandDog and @CartoonYourPets provided education and entertainment while the prizes were handed out by @EventBarkers.  The photo tips were 
flying from multiple handles as @LifeandDog, @Dogtipper and @AllThingsDog all offered their own versions of help for Super Dog Sunday™ entries.

A LIVE pet illustration was surely the hit of the show for non-photographers. Thanks to @CartoonYourPets for illustrating @ToDogwithLove's precious pup. This was truly an enjoyable progression to watch as it unfolded with photos throughout the event.

The All Things Dog Blog offices look like a pet shop currently as we are preparing to ship prizes to all 10 of our winners. Special thanks to our sponsors @ILoveMyK10 pet supplements, @ThingsYourDog, the authors of the comical book Things Your Dog Doesn't Want You to Know, @TobyandMax inspirational jewelry, and Gypsy Eyes Clothing, the Etsy store who provided the adorable pet hoodies to four lucky winners. #SuperDogPics Back Up Date

#SuperDogPics Backup Rain Date

Okay, so I'm anal about backups. But really, what would you do if you showed up for #SuperDogPics and Twitter was down? You couldn't Tweet me a question about what to do, so you could only rely on seeing a post on the blog. Seriously? If Twitter was down I'd be scrambling to figure out if the outage were local or regional or widespread. So here's the plan:

If 4 PM ET comes on Sunday, January 20, and you can't find Twitter.com in working order, give TweetChat.com a shot before giving up. No TweetChat? Try Twitter a couple more times and then it's time to bail. Sometimes Super Dog poop happens, but we've got a backup plan.

So, if we're not on Twitter Sunday afternoon because of technical difficulties at Twitter, watch for #SuperDogPics at our alternate time:

Super Dog Sunday Grand Prize!

When our Super Dog Sunday™ Cheer Team members started asking questions about all the events, entries and methods for winning prizes, I realized that it's time to get more clear. With 2 events preparing to launch during the same time frame, we've got a lot of goodies up for grabs. I hope this spells out all the ways to win our prize packages a little more clearly. I'll go through the prize packages in chronological order, aka in the order to be given away:

#SuperDogPics Twitter Party

1. PreTweet Prize is won by a drawing from Tweets pulled from Twitter using a #SuperDogPics hashtag search. You'll find suggested Tweets here and here and also here. All you have to do is hit the RT icon; it's that easy! You're welcome to enter as many unique Tweets per day, per handle, as you wish.  The PreTweet winner will be drawn 1 day early in order to allow time for the winner to be notified and to submit a photograph of their dog for illustration by @CartoonYourPets. This LIVE illustration will be a part of the #SuperDogPics party fun; join us and enjoy!
2. You're eligible to win the RSVP Prize for #SuperDogPics simply by entering your RSVP at the linky list at this post. Just follow the simple, step-by-step instructions.  One entry per Twitter handle or person. You need not be present at the party to win this prize package.
3. The #SuperDogPics Rafflecopter Prize package may also be won without attendance at the Twitter Party. Entries for this prize may be made at the Rafflecopter post linked here in the form at the bottom of the post.

4. The remainder of the prizes for #SuperDogPics will be drawn every 10 minutes throughout the party and announced by Twitter handle. The Grand Prize will be announced last. Active participants who are Tweeting and participating throughout the party will be eligible to win in these drawings.

2. The Super Dog Sunday™ Rafflecopter Prize package will be drawn from entries at the Rafflecopter form here. Rafflecopter entrants need not enter a photo in the photo contest to win this prize.
3. A Cheer Team Prize package will go to one of our Cheer Team members by Random.org drawing. We'll simply list them alphabetically and number them for the draw. I have to say that I'm sooooo excited to have this great group of ladies helping us, that I wish there was a prize for each of them. Paris and I count ourselves as very lucky to have their help. 4. Five more categories will have fabulous prize packages that will be won by our photo contest winners. The categories are: 1) Cutest photo, 2) Most Original Photo, 3) Best Decked Out Pet Photo (Decked Out=photo editing done with graphics; this category is for owner's pets), 4) Best Decked Out Petfinder Adoptable Pet (for Petfinder.com adoptable entries), and 5) Best All Around Submission. This last prize is akin to a Grand Prize and the winner may be chosen by the judges from any category.

You have endless opportunities for entering photos with the addition of the Petfinder Adoptable option. While you may only enter your own pets once per pet, you may enter as many Petfinder Adoptable pets as you wish. Send entries to EventBarkers@gmail.com, making sure to include your pet's name. Just to be clear, categories will be assigned by our judges and the judges' (there are two) assignments and choices are final. All Super Dog Sunday™ winners will be announced on AllThingsDogBlog.com and Dogtipper.com on Monday, February 4.

One additional request that is very important, and near and dear to my heart, is this: In order to give our Petfinder Adoptable entries some much-needed promotion, we ask that all Petfinder Decked Out submissions be sent with this information:

• The Pet's name
• The city/state where the pet is located
• The Petfinder pet's profile page url (this is imperative for location of the pet)

With this information, we will be able to promote these adoptable pets, hopefully getting them some extra views and bringing some of them home. Last year's event found homes for several of our highlighted Petfinder pets; what a joy that was to hear.

#SuperDogPics Goes Long for Fido's Freebie Friday

This week has certainly been a whirlwind. Our Super Dog Sunday™ Cheer Team started cheering up a storm to promote the charity photo contest we're hosting with Dogtipper.com. I'm so pumped to get started with the #SuperDogPics Twitter Party on Sunday afternoon. Will you be joining us? Life + Dog Magazine: Bonding with Fido Made Easy!

Some people just have a way about them. The publishers of Life+Dog are definitely on this list. Each and every time I've met with Brett and Ryan I find their enthusiasm contagious. What a joy it is to spend time with people who love their work and their pets so completely.

Their magazine, Life + Dog, is as endearing as they are. Each cover story shares the relationship of one celebrity or group with their dog. You finish reading these articles with a smile, feeling inspired.

Life + Dog covers all areas of dog lifestyle, just as the tagline says: "Modern Living with Man's Best Friend."  A recent issue included landscaping tips, indestructible toys, dogs at work and my personal favorite: The Ultimate Chick Magnets!

During a recent meeting with Ryan I was amazed at his complete engrossment in his editorial calendar, as I sat by completely confused. His work is ruled by the schedule, yet he manages to produce a magazine that continues to help us find new ways to bond with our dogs, educates us about our dogs, and fill us in on the world around us, with perspective right where we want it--on our dogs.

Well, lucky for us that Ryan will be joining us at #SuperDogPics as a guest expert, to answer pet photography questions posed by our guests. You can join us to ask how he gets those hard to get head tilts and perfect smiles again exciting backdrops. What a fun job he has!
