#SuperDogPics Backup Rain Date

Okay, so I'm anal about backups. But really, what would you do if you showed up for #SuperDogPics and Twitter was down? You couldn't Tweet me a question about what to do, so you could only rely on seeing a post on the blog. Seriously? If Twitter was down I'd be scrambling to figure out if the outage were local or regional or widespread. So here's the plan:

If 4 PM ET comes on Sunday, January 20, and you can't find Twitter.com in working order, give TweetChat.com a shot before giving up. No TweetChat? Try Twitter a couple more times and then it's time to bail. Sometimes Super Dog poop happens, but we've got a backup plan.

So, if we're not on Twitter Sunday afternoon because of technical difficulties at Twitter, watch for #SuperDogPics at our alternate time:

#EBTweets Backup Plan Twitter Downtime Alternate Date

In Case of Twitter Downtime...

Every party needs a back up plan. Although Twitter rarely has outages, we're planning for worst-case scenario. Just in case Twitter is down on Sunday, May 27, we'll reschedule for Monday, May 28--same time! See you then for #EBTweets :) No umbrellas required for this Rain Date!

Super Dog Sunday™ Rain Date Announcement: Just in Case!

Super Dog Sunday Backup Plan

Things happen. Thank goodness Twitter was alive and kicking during our #SuperDogPics Twitter Party. Now we're planning backup for the Super Dog Sunday™ Photo Contest and Blog Hop. PLEASE NOTE: There have been no changes to the dates or times of Super Dog Sunday™, we simply want you to know what happens if Dogtipper.com, AllThingsDogBlog.com or our Blog Hop plumbing goes down.


If you visit our blogs on Sunday to link up a photo or view the photos posted for the contest, and you find nothing going on, here's the procedure:

• Take a peek at both blogs to make sure you have not missed the hop. You'll see bunches of adorable dog photos in NFL-themed regalia. If not,....
• Check back in an hour or so to see if we are hoppin again; most likely we will be.
• If you only find blogposts and no NFL-themed photos, then it is possible we are experiencing a plumbing problem. Drop us an email at EventBarkers@gmail.com to confirm. We'll be manning that email for the whole day to assure that communication is running smoothly.
• If the Blog Hop and Photo Contest are not running acceptably, we'll plan to run a "rematch" on Monday and Tuesday, starting at 8 AM EST and running through 9 PM EST on Tuesday. In this case, winners will be announced on Wednesday.
• Another little detail. If the blog hop gets rolling and then drops off the planet somehow, we'll simply keep it open through Tuesday night at 9 PM ET to make sure you all have a chance to enter. I know; I know! It's a crazy schedule, but I'm planning for every possible fire that may need to be put out. 

Although this is unlikely to occur, it's good to have a plan just in case. Our plan is to open at 8 AM ET Sunday and remain open for linkups through 9 PM. If you need us to post your photo, send it to EventBarkers@gmail.com before 6 PM. See you Sunday!
