Time again to open another week of Fido's Freebie Friday. I love this event! It's like having a brand new pet product shopping mall right here at All Things Dog Blog, with new goodies each and every week. And remember, we're open 24/7 for your shopping pleasure :)

Pet Product Review Tip # 19: When shipping your own products, there are many options. Every product brings a different set of challenges in terms of shipping--size, weight, shape, content (liquids, breakables, etc). Flat rate boxes with USPS are sometimes the way to go with heavier items, but these boxes do not come in larger sizes. Compare prices at both USPS and UPS when concerns arise about cost and insurance. Some insurance is included in your UPS cost, while insurance or delivery confirmation are separate costs with USPS. Each product feature adds another layer of complexity to the decision that means you'll need to determine shipping methods and who will do the shipping before the review and giveaway are scheduled.

We hope you and yours had a wonderful July 4th. I know that many of our pups do not particularly enjoy this celebration that often includes fireworks, causing fearful reactions. Oliver has become less reactive to these noises, simply sticking close to mom these days. He wears his Thundershirt and uses the Arenus Mellow Out, which both seem to have had a positive effect on his reaction.
Tanner remains clueless. Give him a pool to swim in during the day and he's a happy camper, enjoying his snooze time, right through the noisy festivities outdoors.

When doing a giveaway in which the company will be shipping prizes to your winners, be sure to keep your site's privacy policy in mind as you offer information to the brand. I make a special effort to let each company know that my readers' addresses and phone numbers are only to be used for shipping purposes. You may even request that they not be added to a customer or sales list, depending on what your privacy policy offers your readers.

Blogpaws, last week's pet bloggers' conference in Salt Lake City, was a grand time and many good things came of all the hobnobbing with other bloggers. One is that Fido's Freebie Friday has a third co-host. Please welcome Dogtipper.com as our newest co-host. As we grow, so too does our presence. Pet Product Review Tip # 16: Be sure to arrange your product giveaway with your company contact in advance and determine who will ship the prizes. If they are shipping the prizes to you in bulk for shipment to your winners, you may want to wait until they are received to run your review. Things happen!

I'm still noticing that late listers get fewer clicks, so you may want to mark your calendars and enter your posts here more quickly, at least as soon as you open them during the week.
