Thanks to our readers and #WorkLikeaDog guests for helping us to assist Zuke's in getting the word out about their cool program to name the best dog-friendly workplaces. While I'm pretty certain All Things Dog Blog should take this award, we don't qualify, so onward we go to continue with nominations.

The Bark will take your nominations throughout the month of June, so keep on thinking and get those nominations in. You'll find the contest information at the Zuke's Facebook page at this link. The contest is open to U.S. entries; please read the official rules for further clarification if you wish to nominate an organization that may qualify.

Zuke's is excited to support this terrific acknowledgement of other companies that strive to meet their high standards of pet friendliness. Last year's winner was The Daily Show with Jon Stewart. Fun Fido Reading Material

There's something about the feel of turning a real page that surpasses the joy of using an iPod or a Kindle. I can't describe it fully, but I can say that I get a deepening sense of relaxation and am more fully drawn into the material when I have real pages to turn. Sounds funny coming from someone who spends 70 hours a week cranking out material for the Internet, right? I think so too.


I've learned to appreciate both for what they are. Today's giveaway commences a celebration of print magazines. There are 3 titles in the giveaway: FIDO Friendly, ModernDog, and Life+Dog. From my assorted batch of 8, each of 4 winners will receive 2 copies.
