Dog Lover Giftpack Giveaway

I've made no secret of the fact that I enjoy watching and learning from Cesar Millan. However, that's not to say that I believe his show is a cure-all. Most certainly viewers should heed the disclaimer that they should not try many of his TV techniques without the assistance of a professional.

That being said, I can totally get behind his push to offer plenty of daily exercise, both physical and mental, to help your pup be the calm and enjoyable companion you desire. Much of his Cesar's Way deck is focused on activities you can do along this line, as well as other tips for training and understanding your dog. This package is more or less an abridged version of his book, perfect for those who can't get through the book.

This week's prize giveaway is a hodgepodge of goodies for you and Fido which also includes a sample of Rachel Ray's Nutrish dog food and a stuffed pup for your desk (NOTE: This is not a dog toy). If you share your dog's weight and breed or color, you'll also receive a bandana for each of your dogs, and maybe another surprise. I like to keep you wondering.

Winners will be drawn Thursday evening and announced Friday on the blog on April 15. Here's some help with entering, finding out if you won, and more....

You can read the whole post to learn the rules of entry (sometimes they are different) if you click the link beneath the dog, where the description is. Sometimes we have multiple drawings going on, so watch for the giveaway you're trying to check.

Better yet, take a minute to visit the top of our sidebar to get your FREE subscription. Be sure to go to your email to activate it, and then you'll be absolutely positive that you won't miss a single announcement with your name in it.

If you return to check on your possible payload, you can easily find the winners' names listed at the List of Winners, also just beneath the doggie image shown above. I try to update this every Friday by mid-afternoon, so if you check in over the weekend you'll be able to easily learn your fate. When I don't have contact information on you, this may be your only way of learning if you won; it's your lifeline, so check it if you don't offer me a way to contact you.

Most prizes are available only to North American (continental U.S. and Canada) addresses. Some are occasionally open to International shipping, so watch for them, and be sure to enter. We want you to win!

Global Pet Expo Over!

Well, I'm glad to be home. As much as I totally and completely enjoyed immersing myself in the dog world at the Global Pet Expo for three days, I missed my dogs. It was nice to snuggle with them last night. I'm also excited to give away some prizes today. Dog Lovers Love #FF on Facebook and Twitter, but What Does it Mean?

Every Friday I see it all over the social media sites. I've never asked. Sometimes it's obvious; sometimes not so much. I'm talking about the acronym or hashtag FF.

I've searched and searched for an official meaning of #FF. I've come down to one conclusion: Bloggers and other social media users love it and use it for whatever acronym works for them. Here's a few I've found that you may find relevant:

Follow Friday (as in Twitter)
Facebook Friday (duh)
Friend Friday (I guess this works for both)
FIDO Friendly
Friend feed (on Facebook)
Furry Friday (pet bloggers?)
Friends Forever (as in BFF)
French Fries
Firefox
Fat Free
Frequent Flyer
Full Figured

Let's collect some data here. Leave a comment with other meanings for the acronym FF that are family-friendly (no pun intended) and might be useful to our readership. Then answer 1 question: Do you use Twitter and/or Facebook for social networking? If so, which or both?
