Baby Oliver Tries Out a Backpack

As my family prepares to marry off our eldest, we've been looking through old photos. Lots of fun pictures have been revisited and we've had a few tearful ones as well. We all still miss Grandpa J and Xena. I'll share some of the photos of her a little later.

Today I thought it appropriate to share a picture of Oliver as a puppy, sitting on Toni's backpack. His expression is almost frightened, as if he thought he were actually going to be going to school with her. I believe he was about about 3 months in this photo, so he wasn't quite ready for much training yet, although he learned Sit with lightening speed. Amazing what a little training treat will do with this pup!

'Cousin' Jacque Moves Nearby

Today is a very exciting day for Oliver and Tanner. Their 'cousin' Jacque, my mother's Papillon, is moving to our area. Jacque and Oliver are both Papillons, but not related. While both were adopted, Jacque is nearly a year younger than Oliver. The two pups are great chums and Jacque enjoys Tanner as well. I believe our future holds more frequent dog park visits, and that's just fine with my boys.

Am I Handsome Mom?

My party animal is finally feeling less itchy and ready to celebrate. He enjoyed his Mardi Gras with some treats that are a little more tame than that of the taverns in New Orleans. After a couple of weeks of outsmarting an itchy spot (bug bite? bush attack? rough housing with the neighborhood hounds? He still won't tell me what happened) Tanner is finally out of his scratch preventer Tshirt and looking pretty smart in his Mardi Gras getup. What do you think?

Patches, our cat, has gotten wind of the #RedCarpetCat Twitter Party that will be held tonight. She's eager to snag some swag from the prizes. Maybe I'll pop in and see what the scoop is. You?

Wordless Woofing Wednesday: Oliver's Holiday Pajamas

Every Boy Needs Santa  PJ's

On chilly nights I sometimes put a fleece top on Oliver, since we rarely use our heat here in Florida. This year, Oliver received some adorable pajamas from our friends at Petco. They fit him so nicely, and even have arms and legs to hold in body heat, yet they are light enough for our temperate winters. I think he's already decided they are his new fave. What do you think?

Wordless Wednesday is a classic type of post among bloggers of all genres. Here in the pet bloggers' world, you'll generally find animal photos at a Wordless Wednesday post.


For sometime now, I have been terming my occasional Wordless Wednesday posts as Woofing Wordless Wednesday, even if they are not wordless. Most are not. Wordless is just not one of my talents. 


With dog photos aplenty, I like to share my shots on Wednesday, and I hope to hear from you whenever the mood strikes. Happy Woofing Wednesday!
