Dog Lovers' TShirts by Freaky Dog People

My Fave T-Shirt From Freaky Dog People

One of my favorite new products I found at last year's Blogpaws conference was the line of  T-Shirts from Freaky Dog People. I promised back then that I'd be providing an easy purchase method for these shirts on my site. It's been a while in getting here, but finally Freaky Dog People Tshirts have arrived! Their ad in my sidebar will take you to their site where you can purchase your fave T-Shirt.

At last count I have 3 of their designs. They have many more, even a design that that is  available in sizes for guys; The shirt I'm wearing in the photo above is cut for women--a little more fitted and shaped. The sleeves are not so boxy as guys' shirts; you get the idea. At this time of year when temps are rising so high, I love the thinner fabric that these T-Shirts are fashioned from too.

I love showing off my love of dogs, and these T-shirts really help me get the message out there, without wearing an "I Love My Papillon" shirt. Don't tell Tanner I used Oliver as an example; I'd really be in hot water!


This Dog and Heart design is probably tied for my favorite. I wear it all the time. I suppose it is fair to say that I'm Freaky Dog People poor.  Now it's your turn!

For those who are of questionable dog loyalty, or just don't want to shout it to the masses, the Freaky Chain design at right will work for just about anybody. Cool, huh?


Love Ride is another popular style, and colorful enough to fly through Halloween with style. Maybe that should be my next purchase?

Now that I've nearly rolled out the whole line of women's designs, maybe I shouldn't leave out the guys. The FDP Crest design is available for both ladies and their hunks. It's comes in coal and bark, shown here.

Pet Charity Spotlight: Best Friends Society

You may have noticed a new ad in my sidebar. As a part of the Blogpaws initiatives to help homeless pets, a number of us are participating in an effort to help bring about a time when there are no more homeless pets. Best Friends Animal Society is more than just a friend to animals; they are making a real difference.


With Valentine's Day approaching, love is in the air. This is the time of year when we all tend to think of those we care most about. Hopefully homeless animals are on your list. Best Friends Animal Society has many ways that you can help. Visit their site and you can read about their programs. You might even decide to sponsor an animal or treat your human sweetheart to something from their store. In this way, you will be supporting homeless animals at the same time you take care of your Valentine's shopping. Handy, right?

Speaking of Valentine's Day, I announced a bracelet giveaway last week and lots of you entered the drawing. I'm sure the folks at Freaky Dog People will be glad to know you love their bracelets.

Pup Safety First on Valentine's Day

Buddy, Ready for Valentine's Day

It's that time of year again. Time for boxes of chocolates and adorable heart necklaces. I just want to remind you to be safe. Chocolate is extremely toxic to dogs' systems, so be safe. While your little Yorkie, like Buddy here, may not be able to get the box off your kitchen counter, your Lab or even a Border Collie may surprise you at their wiley ability to nuzzle a box to the edge.

Another word of caution, even through thoroughly wrapped in plastic, those chocolates can still be readily detected by your dog. And he doesn't have to be a hound to find them. Place the candy well out of reach of your largest dog, and hide the jewelry right along with it. Hopscotching around your yard to locate a charm or necklace that has been eaten will not be fun!

FYI, if you do have an incident with the chocolate, be sure to contact your vet or poison control immediately. You'll also find it located on my site under Emergency resources in the lower part of my sidebar. Tuck that in your memory bank for future reference.

On a lighter note, hows about we give away a couple of adorable bracelets for some of you Valentine fans? My friends over at Freaky Dog People sent me these precious bracelets, and I just have to share! Comments here and on my Facebook page will get you an entry. I'll award both bracelets to two lucky winners on Friday, January 29. That will give me time to get them to the winners before Valentines Day. A bracelet will make a nice addition to that box of candy!
