I'm on a high this week, compliments of the recent pet blogging conference I attended. So many ideas; so little time. This post is simply to share some of the upcoming posts. Hope you'll return to check them out as we go through the week:

• Pup Profiles will introduce you to a reader's dog today. Is he yours?
• Dr. Mark has some interesting insight on the spay/neuter conundrum and dogs' hormones--great questions from one very astute reader.
• I'm finally sharing the first of some posts on the animals I met in Thailand. Have I got an eyeful for you on Wednesday.
• K9 Kamp opens Thursday, along with a batch of new reviews and giveaways, so I wouldn't miss this if I were you. K9 Kamp is a new program, hosted by Kolchak Puggle and Peggy's Pet Place, and designed to help us all get healthy and fit. And that's on top of all the prizes that will be given away. Join me for some fun activity challenges and a few tips on eating better to help us meet our goals.
• Fido's Freebie Friday should be cooking with lots of fun giveaways on Friday, after bloggers get their links in on Thursday evening. Be sure to stop in and see what's new on the giveaways scene.
• Winners' announcements will be posted on Friday afternoon for the giveaways of Organix Pet food and copies of A Dog's Purpose. Another Grab Bag Surprise will pop up as well, so check in to see if you're a winner this week. 
• The Saturday Pet Blogger Hop continues as always. My post this week will address quality of life for senior dogs. If you've got an aging Fido, or one that is close, this may be the post you'll need to give some consideration to.
• Sunday's Adoptable Pets Tour will visit Montana in search of dogs, cats and rabbits that are available for adoption. Be sure to check in if you're in that area and looking for a new furry friend.

This week's Grab Bag Surprise is designed especially to delight a reader-dog lover. I'm defining all of my readers as dog lovers, so I suppose you're all one in the same.


A large tote bag, perfect for grocery shopping, will come complete with some Sneaky Dog Pack Snacks and other surprise goodies. Each package varies from week to week, sometimes including toys, and others will offer dog owner aids. All prizes are sure to delight.


This week's lucky winner is BJ McCarty. When this name came from the box the delight was all mine. BJ is a childhood friend that somehow surfaced on Facebook one day, surprising ME with a hello. Isn't it fun to rekindle our old friendships through Facebook? It was especially wonderful to learn what a dog lover she had become.

FYI for my readers, the Grab Bag Surprises will continue through Halloween. Can you say Twitter party? Get your Twitter accounts up and running and practice your Tweeting skills because the fun will begin this Fall. 


Before I wrap up the Twitter Party topic, I'l like to ask for input on when you would enjoy attending a 1-hour party. While I will try to offer a variety, I'd still like some ideas from all of you on when you're open to an hour of fast and furious tweeting. Think of it as typing class on steroids, but with prizes and great special guests to talk to. Watch for more as we move on into Fall. Happy tails!

Every Grab Bag is Different

This week's winner of our Doggie Grab Bag prize is a local lady that I know quite well. It feels good to have the prize land in my own area for a change. So many have gotten shipped to all corners of the country.

The emails keep rolling in about the grab bags. Everyone seems to think this is such a fun idea. I guess we all like surprises now and then.  If you're not familiar with the concept of this weekly event, you can read up at our announcement post, which explains how it got started. 

There is no entry required. This week's winner is Debbie Redondo. It's been a while since I've seen Debbie on the site, but if I can find her, she'll get a nice treat and toy prizepack for her fido.
