Bowls and Chow for Your Fido!
Don't kid yourself about our All Things Dog Blog giveaways. We aim to please, even when it means bribery. This month's ORGANIX giveaway is getting a leg up with an assortment of bowls for our 4 winners to assure that dinner is served in style.

Our goal? We want to give you a goodly amount of this nutritious kibble so that you'll take your time, make the transition, and allow yourself to watch the changes in your dog that result in a truly healthful meal each day. Will your dog's coat gain shine and softness, will his behavior calm, will he appear more satisfied? Whatever the change, we know your dog will enjoy this food.

As of October, 2013 both Merrick and Castor and Pollux have earned the Safe Quality Food (SQF) Level 3 certification for its 195,000 square foot facilities located in Hereford, Texas. Moreover, Merrick's facilities are the world's only known Organic certified manufacturer that makes its own food to achieve this level of certification for both dry and canned food for pets under the USDA National Organic Program (NOP). That's safety to cheer about!

As we draw our winners, the bowls will be assigned to the winners based on size, so each will be a surprise. We're looking forward to seeing a lot of variety in our Fido's entries, including their weigh-in on the scale!

Time for a Weigh In :)

In order to win, you need only use the Rafflecopter entry form at the bottom of this post. Occasionally, however, we have to admonish this widget for lack of responsiveness. If this happens, just click on the title of the post to snap it back to attention. Then you can enter and have fun.

Entries will remain open through midnight on Thursday, August 21. We'll announce the winners on Friday afternoon, August 22. Just as the widget indicates, each one of our lucky winners will receive a 25 lb. bag (or the equivalent in smaller bags) of ORGANIX organic dog food. Be sure to let us know two things with a comment: your dog's weight and his favorite variety of ORGANIX kibble.

Good luck to you all. I'll be back on August 22 with a list of winners.

I would like to learn more about how picky dogs can change foods more easily. I try not to try to many different foods so as not to confuse my dog so I would like more information on how changing food/brands can be done easily.

I learned from their website that the #1 ingredient in their Grain-Free Adult Dog Food is organic, free-range chicken.

I have five rescued Treeing Walker Coonhounds, and at least three of them had a really rough start in life, including my Kyoko almost being starved to death before being dumped at the kill shelter I adopted her from. Since I adopted her she's gained weight - too much, in fact, as she eats like she's starving. Her skin and fur look so much better, but I'd love to see Kyoko, and my other dogs, show even more improvement in their health. I love my furbabies and want to keep them happy and healthy for as many years as is possible.

I'd like to try the ORGANIX Grain-Free Adult Dog Food for my dogs. It's chicken, although my dogs also love salmon and other flavors.

I want to see dog foods that aren't always made with chicken. Sometimes even if you see a another flavored dog food it still has chicken in it! My dog suffers from a lot of allergies and is on venison right now and I find it hard to find a lot of products made with venison. Everything is always chicken!

I would like to see that the food contains vitamins and minerals that would be good for my dogs teeth and his skin and coat. If there was a noticeable improvement in his coat that would mean something to me, but I would also like to know that it tastes good so that he would like it.

I'd like to see that we're transitioning to foods that are healthier and more appropriate for dogs through each stage of life, without any unnecessary preservatives; ingredients should be clearly named and their role stated.

We'd like to try Turkey & Vegetable; we're fostering a new boy with skin allergies and I bet that would really help him.

I learned that the Natural Ultramix uses real pieces of fruits and vegetables for dogs, and our proprietary Carnivore Health Boost for cats. That sounds really good.

I'd like to try the ORGANIX Small Breed Adult Dog food. Sometimes it's hard to find small sized kibble for smaller dogs so I love that they have this :)

Shelley P said...

I'd like to see brands not only state that the food is made in the USA but also if all ingredients are sourced in the USA as well. I'd also like to see more single protein foods for pets with allergies and listed properly/better. I have a dog with allergies to beef and lamb so picked up what was labeled as rabbit. I later found out it also had chicken in it as well. Luckily my pup doesn't have an issue with chicken but if this had been beef or lamb this could have made her very ill.

One dog is on a prescription food packed with ingredients to help his joints. While he's still young and healthy, he's an active agility dog and I want to do everything I can to protect his body now. My pup isn't on the food yet, but would consider switching both to a different food if it had specific benefits like joint health.

KateV said...

My dogs do best with Chicken as the main protein in their foods.

I was surprised (and happy) to find out that ORGANIX Weight Management Adult Dog Food has Organic Quinoa in it. Quinoa is a "superfood" and is a great replacement for grains like wheat and corn in dog food.
