Pet Products Shine:
All Things Dog Blog's Top 10 Picks

by Carrie Boyko, CEB
Momo Greets Visitors at
the P.L.A.Y. Booth

Trying to catch my breath since the close of the Global Pet Expo show, I just have to give you guys a sneak peak at some of the interesting NEW products I found. My top 10 picks from the show are included in the quick slideshow below.

Now, let's have some fun. Let's see who can successfully name my top 3 picks with a comment at the bottom. I'll give a Grab bag prize of pet and pet lover items to up to 5 of you who name my top 3 accurately. No hints, just let me know which 3 you like best, and we'll see if you're right. If you can't read the product names, just describe the item in your guess. You've got till midnight March 7 to guess. I'll announce the winner(s) on Friday, March 8. Ready....set....go!

Okay, I'm a sucker for a sad face. I'll give you one hint. I tend to gravitate toward products that solve problems and are creative. Good luck and be sure to visit Mutt Monday while you're here for a nice batch of tips for preparing your Fido for Spring.

I loved the zip and wash pet bed, the smart pup treats and that tetraflex ball (and since I love them I'll assume that's what you loved too!)

I think the zip & wash pet bed, jw pets evertuff toy, and the smart pup treats. ( At least those were my favs :) )

The slide show is going too fast. I can't get a good look at the products. I see what looks like an interactive dog toy... it is shaped like a bone, tan, and lies flat on the ground and has this red thing in the middle. The scent markers for blind dogs looks interesting. And so does that bottle toy with three or four bottles on it.

1. Wash -N- Zip Pet Bed
2. Scents of Security Dog Toy
3. Bone Mat

Hmmmmm..... I'm really not sure! I am, however, jealous because you were able to attend! :-)

I'm jealous too! The expo looks like it was a lot of fun!

I would say the bone shaped mat, SmartPup and the couch cover!

Hugly Hounds Gator puppets
Bone Mat
Bottle Link-up thing (I can't see a name for it)

I love these, but also really love Cool Licks and Smart Pup frozen treats, and Tracerz - scented markers for blind dogs.

Stephanie said...

I think that your three favorites were the Scented Markers for blind dogs (my Fave), the dog bed that unzips and the Scents of Security Dog Toy.

Looks like the expo was loads of fun!

Scents of Security would be great for a new pup.
Wash-n-Zip bed would be great for the car. It would be nice to have the flexibility to use it both ways.
Tracerz certainly wouldn't have a mass appeal, but I can see where it would be very helpful.

Huggle Hounds looks dangerous to my health. If that guy ever shows up here, I see smashed fingers in my future!

1. Tetraflex is on our list. Steel would LOVE this.
2. Wash-n-Zip
3. Tracerz

I've heard from 2 readers that the slideshow would not work on their browsers, so here's a list of the dog products Tanner, Oliver and I selected. I think we lost count, but they are all in the slideshow. Here's a direct link to the slideshow online: http://ow.ly/idEdX . Here's a list of the items: HuggleHunds Puppet/Soft Toy, Bone Mat, Bottle Buddies, Scents of Security, Tetraflex Treat Ball, Petcakes, Smartpup Cool Licks, Wash n Zip Pet Bed, Tracerz Scented Markers for Blink Dogs, Petstages Dogwood Chew toy, and Jw Pet Ever Tough Nylon toys. Good luck!

I think the grey bone mat with the white dog, the scent markers for blind dogs, and the water bottle toy. I don't quite understand the bone mat, but it looks like a challenge for the dog. The blind dog one is a genius idea and I think that is something you would raise awareness on. The water bottle toy is a good way to be green and reuse and then recycle the water bottles.

Okay....solves a problem and creative...the first two jump out at me...
The  tracerz scented markers for blind dogs
This is just probably the most innovative thing I have seen yet and will change the lives of so many blind dogs when they are able to learn their home by scent cues....truely wonderful...
Second product is the scents of security blanket
A security blanket for dogs with seperation anxiety and other bad behaviors.....genius.  I use a thunder shirt for on of my dogs and I'm thrilled to see another item that focuses on giving the dogs the security they need to solve their issue rather than medicating them as some do....
Third is a tossup between the bone mat to keep dogs from burying those yummy bones and the wash and zip pet bed....  Just because I can currently wash my dog bed even though it's not as convenient, I choose the bone mat as it's innovative and definitely solves a problem just as the other two do,...the wash n zip bed solves a problem more for humans whereas the other three solves problems for doggies....now, time to see who is correct..... Btw, I loved all eleven of the top ten products! Dh_jax@yahoo.com

You've already raved about the wash n zip pet beds, so that's one guess. I think the trackerz for blind dogs is great and I bet you would too. The last one I'm trying to decide between 3 (I'm bad at this, lol!) but I think I'll go with the bone looking mat/toy... lyricintime2803 @ yahoo . com
