Mutt Monday Moves Toward the New Year

The countdown is on to the New Year. It's hard to believe 2012 is just around the corner. 


After Tanner took his Christmas swim and had a nice fetch game, our family enjoyed our annual Bowling Tournament. It's one of those silly things we do every year just for bonding time. We always have fun cheering one another on while at the same time teasing and joking at one another's expense. My kids particularly get a kick out of making fun of my bowling "form" and, of course, my nickname. We'll leave it at that.


How does your family spend holidays? Do you have a special way of bonding that is unique? Now that we're back at home, the dogs have curled up with us and we'll all watch a movie and wind down. Mutt Monday Moves into the Holidays

"Mutt Monday really is the Heinz 57 of Blog Hops. We take just about any assortment of pet-related post you may have, as long as it's family friendly. With the holidays upon us, I'm sure we'll be seeing some related posts, as well as giveaways for holiday stocking stuffers or whatever manner of celebrating you wish to do. What pup doesn't want to stay up and party on New Years with a new chew toy?


Okay, maybe New Years Eve is not a great example. Those fireworks are a challenge for most of our pups. Oliver already has his plan worked out: Dinner early. Put on the Thundershirt by 7 PM. Snuggle up in the quietest room of the house with loud music and all the blinds and drapes closed. Oh, and of course, let's not forget we'll be playing Lisa Spector's Music to Calm Your Canine Companion just about all day, just to get ready for the evening.


Tanner is another story entirely. Completely clueless. He really doesn't get it. What's all the fuss about?
