Petmate Roopers Line Growing

by Carrie Boyko, CEB

Meet Tanner's New Friends
Petmate's Roopers rope toys may look like tightly wound rope toys, and they are. But they're more. I learned from my friend Kelly at Petmate that Roopers are a popular desk ornament of their employees and pet lovers. What's more, Roopers are available in a number of other species: squirrel, cat, rabbit, and mice.  These guys are pretty cute :)

Unlike your typical rope toy, Roopers not only have a style that's fun for owners, but they are wound tightly to last longer and live through your super chewer. With all that personality and durability built in, what's not to like? Tanner has selected his 3 faves to give away. Of course they're dogs!

This giveaway will be open for entries until March 8 when the winners will be announced. You'll find other giveaways at our sidebar listing, and also in the menu bar at this link. Finally, don't forget to watch for Fido's Freebie Friday each week, when pet bloggers link up their giveaways to turn this place into a shopping mall of great freebies for you and your pets. We're open 24/7. Click the link in the left sidebar to find the post.

Are you ready for a Roopers giveaway? You know you want one, so today's post is designed to offer a bit of basic assistance for newbies who are baffled by the Rafflecopter form we use for entries. Call this an instructional giveaway--LOL!

  1.  If you already know how our giveaways work, skip all the instructions and go right on to the form to begin entering. Remember to keep it fun and only enter using the methods you enjoy :)
  2. If the Rafflecopter is a bit befuddling for you, you're here at the right time. The first step is to click on the title at the top of the post to call the Rafflecopter out of hiding. It will then appear at the bottom of the post.
  3. You can use your Facebook or email account to sign in, which will speed up the process by collecting your name and email from those accounts so you won't have to fill them in for us. Cool, huh?
  4. Scan the entry options and you'll see you have multiple choices. You can pick and choose or do them all; it's completely up to you. As you select an item, be sure to read the instruction enclosed as some require you to return with a small bit of information.
  5. The "Tweet this Message" entries may be done daily to increase your chances of winning, while also telling more of the Twitterverse about this giveaway.
  6. Don't have enough time to do all you wanted? No worries! You can come back as often as you like, as long as the Rafflecopter is open, to make additional entries.
  7. Questions? Drop me a note to AllThingsDogBlog@gmail.com. I'll be happy to answer your questions.
Good luck and remember to enjoy the journey!

Pet Toy Winners: Thx HomeGoods!

by Carrie Boyko, CEB

So Many Toys. So Little Time.

Our collection of dog toys from HomeGoods has been a big hit. Thanks for your enthusiastic entries and great comments. It seems that there is quite a variety in dog preferences for playthings. To each his own, right?

The toys in this selection were chosen to entertain our celebrity visitor, Bo Obama. Each had its own meaning. For example, the fish represented our living on a lake and Tanner's fun story of catching a fish.  The Flappy fetch toy is in the University of Florida colors, perfect for a fetching dog's fun game.

Of course, every Retriever loves ducks. They live for the chance to do what their DNA has programmed them for--retrieve a downed duck. Our selection has a duck included.

The black and white loofa dog represents Bo, the Furst Dog that just happens to be parti-colored just like this toy.

Padlock Treat Toy
Sweet and soft, the lamb toy is lightweight and easy for even tiny Oliver to pickup and take along on a romping good run through the house. But during quiet, crate time, the blue padlock holds treats that can be dug out in an enjoyable fetch session of a different kind.

Congratulations to our winners H. Bridson, R. Weitzel, A. Galanos, Tamra H., M. Rozak and A. Sovko. You'll each hear from me via my AllThingsDogBlog@gmail.com email. I'll need your mailing address in order to get your prizes out quickly next week. Watch your email and check your spam if you do not see it by this evening. Have a wonderful weekend and be sure to check out Fido's Freebie Friday to see what else you can enter to win. We hope to see you at #SuperDogPics on Sunday afternoon at 4 PM ET. Don't forget to RSVP at the link to be eligible to win prizes. Happy tails,

A Pup Can Never
Have Too Many Toys!
Are you ready for some madness?! This latest giveaway involves some seriously awesome prizes and 6 winners! HomeGoods has supplied All Things Dog Blog with some excellent dog toys to give away to 6 of my lucky readers. I can't speak for everyone, but I know that Tanner believes that he can never have too many. Oliver is a bit more selective with his toy choices.

Tanner Loves This Sheep!
Among our many excellent toys to give away, Tanner's favorite is this fluffy black sheep you can see him cuddling with on the left. Tanner is quite the snuggle buddy and loves curling up with his favorite toy after a long walk or swim. This sheep is absolutely adorable and perfectly safe for dogs of all sizes and ages. It might be bigger than some puppies, but it is very light weight and I bet they'll still love how soft it is!

Some of the other dog toys in the photo with Oliver include the black and white "Loofa Dog" toy, a small size stuffed duck,  medium size stuffed fish with squeaker, and the medium sized rubber "Lock n' Play" toy. This rubber toy is great for medium size adult dogs and it has a nice scent to keep them interested while they dig for the treats you can place inside...a great puzzle toy!

Oliver Loves Flappy!

I almost forgot about FLAPPY! How could I do that?! I might have mentioned in the past about Tanner's favorite pool toy called Flappy. This blue and orange cylinder-shaped toy has tassels on each end for easy grabbing. Perfect for tug or fetch, and it floats. Of course, Tanner's is much larger than the one Oliver is seen with here, and he loves to play fetch with it in the pool. This Flappy is for small dogs.

Think your dog would like a new toy? Enter for a chance to win your pup one of these sweet HomeGoods dog toys. Six winners will be announced Friday, January 18 and each will receive 1 free toy! Use the rafflecopter below for entry, and be sure to post on my blog about which toy you think your dog will like best. More HomeGoods products like these can be found at your local HomeGoods store. Keep up with them on Facebook and Twitter to hear about other great finds.

Entries may be made on the Rafflecopter form at the bottom of this post. If you don't see it, simply click on the post title to refresh and it will magically reappear beneath the post.

Entries will be accepted through Thursday, January 17, 2013 and winners will be announced late on Friday. Good luck!
HomeGoods has provided these prizes as a promotional courtesy. I have not been paid to provide this giveaway or to highlight these products. No purchase is required to win.

Petco Holiday Winners Shine

by Carrie Boyko, CEB

Oliver Models Rosette
Neck Accessory
I absolutely must have my head examined for tackling these sized dog giveaways. Note to self: Remember to request groups of prizes for the next holiday hoopla. While drawing separately for each size and sex assures that I read the comments and my emails, it certainly is labor intensive. Following are the fruits of my labors for both Petco Giveaway #1 and Petco Giveaway #2. I'll fill you each in on which item you won when I email your announcement from AllThingsDogBlog@gmail.com. Watch for it and be sure to reply quickly with your address so I can get prizes out Monday.

The winners of the holiday accessories and clothing are: Robin Q., Christine A, Carly D, Vanessa M, Lorraine L, Shelly P, Jessica R and Lenny G. I absolutely have to say a hearty thank you to all the big dogs who participated in the vigorous commenting. Giveaways like this necessitate that I know the size and sex of your dogs, so hearing from you is especially important in these instances. Thank you again; it was nice to see new readers participating alongside my loyal followers.

The winners of the 3 Petco toy prizes are Kathy D, Janet G and Sharon G. Again, thanks to those of you who took on the added effort of letting me know you would like to be considered for the Menorah. That is a special prize that deserves to be in an appreciative home.

With the holidays upon us, I'd like to send a big, warm thank you to all of you. All Things Dog Blog and Event Barkers have brought me a great deal of enjoyment. I look forward to seeing you all at the #SuperDogPics Twitter Party and Super Dog Sunday (tm) charity photo contest to support Petfinder Foundation

With some family health challenges hitting us just at the holidays, my posting will be minimized to a few giveaways that will continue into the New Year. I invite you to watch as they unfold throughout the next 2 weeks, allowing you to have a chance to win some absolutely wonderful prizes. I'll leave the light on for you :)

Happy holidays,

These giveaways were offered by Petco as a promotional opportunity. I was not paid to provide them or to share my comments in the postings; they are my own.

PetSmart Stocking Winners

by Carrie Boyko, CEB

Toys, Toys, Toys!
Two stockings for dogs, just bursting with toys of all kinds. This is Fido's nightly dream come true. Balls, vinyl toys, ropes, and plush toys to assure your pup has plenty of variety during the holidays, and all from PetSmart.

Are you wondering which type of toy won the polling at the giveaway post?  Landslide victory went to the plush toys by more than double the balls and the rope toys. Poor vinyl toys came in last, although many did say their pups enjoy the squeakers.

I hope PetSmart is listening to all this great market research we're doing here. Want to help us get an even bigger giveaway next time? Stop by their Facebook page, thank them for the All Things Dog Blog giveaway, and tell them which toy type won our poll. You'll impress them with your knowledge :)

The winners of the two stockings full of toys are Rozy N and Monica R. I'll be in touch by email with my AllThingsDogBlog@gmail.com account. Watch for it and be sure to get back to me with your name and mailing address quickly so I can get your prizes out on Monday.  Happy holidays!

PetSmart provided these toys as a promotional event. I was not paid to offer this giveaway or to share any opinions about them. All content in this announcement and the giveaway post is my own.
