They're baaaaaack! Twitter Party fun has been on hiatus for a bit, but returns Sunday, May 27 with #EBTweets. Watch for more Twitter Parties coming over the summer as well, with great giveaways and super products for your Fido and Fluffy. Product Review Tip #9:
If you're a more advanced photographer, you'll probably want to employ a visual approach to showing off the products in your reviews. A photo review is an excellent way to share the features throughout the stages of use of many products. It helps if you can include your pets in these photos; they draw the eye toward your furry friend, attracting more readers.

This past week's most popular 3 categories were  (1) Treats, (2) Grooming supplies, and (2) Gift Cards, with pet food close at the heels of the gift cards. I can see that many of you read and acted on my advice to enter your links earlier. I hope it paid off in added traffic to your giveaway post :)

Giveaways Grow with Larger Pet Product Images

Thanks to all of you who visited and joined in the shopping expedition last week. Did you love the bigger images? What about the end dates on each listing? We've asked our bloggers to join us in telling you when each event ends, saving you valuable time :)


If your pampered pet is on a budget, this is the place to be 24/7. We switch up our collection each Thursday afternoon at 4 PM ET and weekends see our largest number of new additions. Join us for goodies for your pet and be sure to spread the word.


For Bloggers:
Last week's turn out increased nicely with our introduction of a couple of improvements. The larger images in the linky list were nice for everyone, and readers love seeing your event end dates. Their feedback tells us they don't have time to waste clicking on expired giveaways. I can totally support that!


Another New Feature: Most Popular FFF Categories
Starting this week, I'll be letting you know which freebie listing from last week's linky brought in the most clicks. No, I won't be identifying it specifically, but I will be letting you know what the top three categories were each week, listing them in order. In case of a tie, I'll include all categories that tied. I hope this information will be helpful to you in balancing your choices of giveaways, contests and freebies.


This past week's most popular 3 categories were (1) Grooming supplies, (2) Gift Cards and (3) Pet food and treats. Allow me to add one additional note to this information that may be of interest to bloggers who link up here: I have noticed that the earlier you link up, the more exposure you will likely get. That's not to say that you won't see some action if you wait until Monday to link up, but there is definitely more activity on those giveaways that link up before the middle of the weekend. I hope this is helpful to your planning and traffic. Good luck!


Product Review Tip #8:
Taking your own good-quality photos will add credibility to your site's review, as well as branding your pets as part of your site. Be sure to read the tips at Fido's Freebie Friday's Help Page, where amateur photographers can get plenty of info to get started with nice photos that show off the product well.

Fido's Freebie Friday Gets a Fun New Button!

Hello Readers!


Within the next several days a new button will appear here on my blog, as well as on Doggies and Stuff, for the Fido's Freebie Friday weekly giveaway event. Feel free to grab the code for the button from my sidebar server box. This new image will better represent what we are all about here, and I think you'll love it too. As always, I will continue to include the link to each Fido's Freebie Friday event just above the button in my sidebar. I do this simply to make it easy for you to locate the post and view all the choices for shopping. 


All Things Dog Blog and Doggies and Stuff are sooooo excited to reveal our new button, coming soon. We've sent out emails to all to bloggers who have linked up to Fido's Freebie Friday. We have heard from a few who have found these in their spam, so please be sure to check your email spam file for important information about our button change and your blog. It was sent last weekend and should be dated May 31 or April 1.

Pet Product Review Tip #4: Start Your Review with Brand Information


Information to include in your product review should include the manufacturer or retailer's website and product page. You may also wish to add their Facebook page and Twitter handle, as well as their store locator if this is available. Some bloggers choose to leave these extra social media sites out; it's your choice.

Fidos Freebie Friday at Global Pet Expo

Yes; you read right. I'm trekking the floors of the Orlando Convention Center, looking for the best products and coolest new pet ideas. What I find here will largely determine what you see in my reviews, giveaways and ads throughout the year. I will only bring you products that I would use for Tanner and Oliver; I have very high standards for my boys. Watch for fun and interesting new goodies to come.

Thanks to requests from some of you, Doggies and Stuff and All Things Dog Blog will now be bringing you Fido's Freebie Friday all week long. You've told us in your emails and Tweets that you'd like to be able to link up whenever you open a new giveaway, so here we are: wide open 24/7!

Our new schedule is very simple. As in the past, each week's new version of Fido's Freebie Friday will continue to open at 4 PM ET on Thursday. The only change is that linkups will now remain OPEN through 3:59 PM ET the following Thursday.
