Memorial Day Pooch Picnic:
A Giveaway!

by Carrie Boyko, CEB
Don't Forget to Bond this Weekend
There's nothing like a holiday weekend to help us make time for family, and at our house, family includes the pets. I plan a little fun on Memorial Day with ORGANIX Jerky Chip Cookies. It's the boys' idea of a plateful of homemade chocolate chip cookies, only better!
Time for Swimming!

Here in Florida, Memorial Day is the unofficial beginning of the swimming and boating season, although many have continued throughout the winter. Tanner has certainly gotten his share of pool time in this winter--his favorite activity.

When it's time to enjoy a cookout or other outdoor activity, the boys will receive a reward if they remain calm and well-behaved while we enjoy our burgers, ribs or chicken on the pool deck or by the lake. If I place a plate of Jerky Chip Cookies on the table, they'll get their cue to remain at a distance while we enjoy our picnic, and then it will be their turn.

ORGANIX Jerky Chip cookies are organic goodness manifested in a delicious cookie, filled with chips that are made of real, USA-made jerky. I know you've heard about the jerky scares. This stuff is all made in the US so you're good to go--safety is the number one priority of ORGANIX.
Pool Party!

How many cookies do the boys get? The answer is different for each dog, as their sizes vary significantly. Tanner tops the scale at 70 lbs while Oliver only comes in a 10. So, while Tanner may enjoy a 2nd full-sized cookie, Oliver will get only a couple of broken pieces of one cookie, just enough to fill him up. No pudgy pups here; these boys need to watch their figures so they have the energy and stamina for all the other activities we do--walking, photo shoots, swimming, camping and more.

When I run out of #ASmartCookie stock I make do with organic vegetables as snacks, until I can stop at my local pet supply store. You can order online if your home is not located near a PetSmart. In the meantime, try what my boys enjoy--carrots and apples. They'll take most anything I'm cutting up for dinner, but these are their favorites. Lucky me; they're not too fussy as long as it's healthy.

I'm looking at my shelf right now and thinking I've got a bit of an overstock situation going on here. Shall we give some Jerky Chip Cookies away? Absolutely YES!
It's Cool, Oliver. Tanner Will Share.

You can use the Rafflecopter entry form at the bottom of the post to make your entries count. If it is napping out of sight, please take action immediately to awaken it by clicking on the post title above. This always works to spring it into action. Keep in mind that entries are for U.S. addresses only. Unfortunately, we're not permitted to ship pet food over the border.

Entries will close Thursday, June 5 and I'll announce the winners on Friday, June 6. Good luck to you all. I'm certain your pups will love #JerkyChipCookies from #ORGANIX!

Happy Memorial Day,

I like that their products are made from USA-sourced jerky chips, and not jerky imported from China (which has made many dogs sick).

I learned that they come in four flavors, chicken, beef, lamb and salmon. I think my dog would like any of those flavors.

Can these be fed to dog allergenic to beef?

@Mary: Thanks for asking this question. After checking the ingredients on all 4 flavors, I have learned that only the chicken and oatmeal is "beef-free". If your dog is allergic to beed, you will want to choose the chicken and oatmeal. Enjoy!
