Did you get a new dog in 2013? Whether you adopted, bought, found or rescued a puppy or adult dog in 2013, you're eligible to enter our 2013 Holiday photo parade. I will post as many of your pics as I can on the blog throughout the holidays, allowing readers to share in your joy. Please offer a brief story of how you acquired your new friend, including whatever details you deem important and are willing to share. A sentence or two is plenty, but you may offer more if you wish.

Meanwhile, go find your best picture of your new furry friend; one photo per pet may be entered. Email your information to me at AllThingsDogBlog@gmail.com and watch for your pup in the parade between December 18 and January 2. A Grab Bag prize package worth $50 will be given away to one entry, drawn at random. The items to be included will be useful to all dog owners, no matter what size, breed, color or sex. Did I say treats? Let the stampede begin!

Here at Fido's Freebie Friday, bloggers are invited to list below their currently open giveaways so that readers may visit and explore items to win. You can help to get more awareness by sharing the badge you see in the top of my post. Feel free to put it in your sidebar, if you wish, but don't feel obligated.

Fido's Freebie Friday opens each Thursday afternoon for linkups at 4:00 PM ET, and renews each week at the same time with a new listing.  Link up anytime during the week--24/7. We make it easy to be seen here by keeping our rules simple:

•You have up to 45 characters to describe your prize and include an expiration date.

•Fido's Freebie Friday Blog Hop is open to posts with prizes for pet products or services, including pet-related or pet-themed items for owners. Use your specific post url to link up.
You'll find assistance at our HELP PAGE, where there is other useful information for bloggers doing giveaways and reviews. Your hosts are All Things Dog Blog, Doggies and StuffDogtipper and To Dog With Love. Happy shopping!

On last note. During the past two weeks we have had linkups from quite a number of new blogs. I would like to welcome them to our mini mall. You can help by visiting them and leaving a comment thanking them for participating. We would love to see them back in again in the near future: BeaglesandBargains, BocciBeefs, Book Sniffers Anonymous,  Dogs4thePaws, Furry Wiggle Butts, My Pawsitively PetsOz the TerrierRuckustheEskie, Sugar the Golden Retriever, and The World According to Garth Riley. Thanks also to the many blogs who participated in the Event Barkers #FueltheLove Blog Hop. Yes, we're feeling thankful today. Won't you join us!

Individual rules of entry and guidelines for winning may apply to each listing. All Things Dog Blog, Doggies and Stuff, DogTipper, and To Dog With Love take no responsibility for the legality of the rules governing the listings on other sites and giveaways that are posted here. We simply provide this forum as a gathering place for pet product giveaways to be offered. Please consult All Things Dog Blog's Giveaway and Contest Rules for more detail. Fulfillment of each giveaway is done by the blog conducting the giveaway, not by the hosts of this giveaway hop; please contact the giveaway host with any questions regarding a giveaway or giveaway prize.

We are getting a new dog, but he (or she) hasn't joined our family yet. We'll be picking up our new puppy after Christmas.

This is a fun idea. I know that I love love love taking pictures of our dogs.

I didn't adopt any dogs or cats myself this year (I have five dogs and three cats and am already over my legal limit), but my dog rescue had several amazing dogs that we took in and found homes for. Most especially are Joey (an oversized Treeing Walker Coonhound mix found curled up in a cold, dark barn in OH, emaciated, missing fur, and with numerous pressure sores, one of which had split open and left him a gaping hole on his leg); Cissy (renamed Oreo by her foster-who-became-her-adopter, was found chained to a post in front of a friend's house - emaciated, with skin condition, missing fur, and HW+ - she's now one of the most beautiful, healthy, intelligent, and sweet Pit Bulls I've ever met); Brandy (just another hound dumped at a kill shelter, with the numbers 278 "branded" onto her sides with dry ice, emaciated, and scared of her own shadow - now adopted by a loving family and simply the best dog I've ever known); and Katie (another totally emaciated hound dumped at a kill shelter, missing fur and HW+, and simply the sweetest dog in the world - now ready for a forever home of her own). I'd love to share their before and after photos, if I'm allowed.
