ASK THE TRAINER at All Things Dog Blog
This email got me to thinking. Perhaps I could offer a range of topics you might enjoy a short course in, compliments of our new ASK THE TRAINER Columnist, Judith Joseph. If putting your dog's problems into words is a challenge, this may be your answer.
Realizing that all dog training involves the owner as much, if not more than, the dog, you will need to ask yourself if you're ready to commit to Rover's education with brief, regular practice sessions every day. If the answer is yes, then here's your solution.
I'll place a training poll just above this article in the blog. It will remain there for a while, hopefully long enough for you to determine what you want to check off on the list. If you need help with more than one or two items, feel free to check as many as you feel are appropriate.
The poll's results will allow our ASK THE TRAINER columnist, Judy, to assess the most important needs of our readers. She will be able to use your poll input to fashion some mini classes online. In short, these will include a step-by-step approach to teaching your dog a single skill or behavior. Remember, practice makes perfect.
Of course, you must realize that online dog classes can only do so much. If you need personal attention for serious problems, you'll need to contact Judy for a consultation to determine Rover's needs. You can find her at Total Control Dog Owner Assistance or email her at firstname.lastname@example.org.
