In researching your dog’s symptoms I learned that an overdose can lead to symptoms including dizziness, which could manifest in a dog walking in circles. Poisoning can occur from ingestion, inhalation, or absorption; therefore, well-ventilated areas and protective gloves are recommended. I would add, in the case of a dog, that supervision should be a part of your plan anytime you apply a topical that your dog may attempt to lick. In any case, please consult your veterinarian for additional advice on this topic. Your comment did not include the specific product you used, so my reply is general in nature to the Natural Defense line.

The All Things Dog Blog opinions on this product were relative to their use of botanical oils rather than toxic, synthetic pesticides as a method to fight parasites. However, while it is possible that any dog could have an allergic reaction to one or more of the botanical ingredients, we do recommend that customers use all pest prevention products with care, following instructions and supervising for any signs of allergy (swelling or breathing distress) or neurological responses such as your dog experienced. Application can be used in a single location as a test, just as home hair-color or permanent wave products often recommend.

Finally, please note my instructional statement in the post: “It is highly important that before use of either of these products you read and fully understand the instructions. Even natural products can still be misused and cause problems for your dog's health. If you are unsure about how to use either product, consult a veterinarian or call the HOT LINE number offered on the product.”

Best wishes to you and your dog and thank you for leaving your thoughts and concerns here. We’re glad your Corgi is feeling better.
Carrie, with Tanner and Oliverhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06570829196985801670noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1606641452257293345.post-84542691167732315582014-05-13T21:36:31.402-04:002014-05-13T21:36:31.402-04:00ATTENTION: DON'T EVER USE THIS PRODUCT!! WE APPLIED SOME TO OUR WELSH CORGI AND ABOUT 5 MINUTES LATER, SHE STARTED PANTING VERY HEAVILY AND KEPT WALKING IN CIRCLES. AFTER REALIZING SOMETHING MUST BE WRONG, I READ SOME REVIEWS ONLINE ABOUT THIS AWFUL PRODUCT ONLY TO FIND OUT THAT ONE OF IT'S MAIN INGREDIENTS IS ISOPROPYL (AKA RUBBING ALCOHOL). 78% OF THE INGREDIENTS ARE ISOPROPYL!! ARE YOU SERIOUS! SERGEANTS SHOULD BE SUED FOR THEIR AWFUL AND DANGEROUS PRODUCTS. I IMMEDIATELY GAVE HER A BATH AND SHAMPOOED HER TWICE AND SHE SEEMS TO BE DOING BETTER NOW. I found a product from Sentry that works so far, the guys at VitaHound introduced it in one of their newsletters. The VitaHound dog supplement is another product I love. Because of this, using products that are free of pesticides is super important to me. I can't stand to use anything poisonous around the kids.
We haven't had the best luck in the area of flea and tick protection. I tried a natural oil combination which helped a little bit, but really didn't do the job. I'm hoping to fins something to fit my needs.
Lisa H
yankssssrule08 at yahoo dot comMerryhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10708021569215779456noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1606641452257293345.post-26802872380730024032013-01-21T00:08:30.625-05:002013-01-21T00:08:30.625-05:00I have never used anything like this but I would l...I have never used anything like this but I would love to!
