Win AirSpeed Exact Pet Eureka Vacuum

by Carrie Boyko, CEB
#EurekaPower Offers Quick Clean Up
As usual, I've got another pet mess. And this one was actually my own fault! While wrapping up a Doga session that I tried (and failed) to record, I managed to spill the treats all over the floor as I was opening them to reward the dogs for joining me. The camera was running so I took advantage of the situation and tested out the new Eureka AirSpeed EXACT Pet vacuum I received for review. What a breath of fresh air when the vacuum sucked up all the treats before the dogs could do the cleanup and find themselves with tummy aches from too many goodies. Watch our experience in the video below and be sure to read our review here.

After the above positive experience I tackled cat litter and Tanner's favorite napping spot. The Pet Power Paw attachment was quite impressive, whirring to a start like a Harley Davidson and quickly cleaning up Tanner's fur that generally sticks to fabrics quite determinedly. That was great news for this pet lover!

I was also pleased to find an air filter inside that can be washed out and reinserted. No need to purchase filter after filter. This is not only a greener filter, it's great for trapping those tiny particles of allergans at this time of year--pollen and the like--that keep our noses running! We definitely want to remove those nasties and wash them down the drain, or better yet, bury them in the garden.

The nice folks at Eureka are offering you, my readers, a chance to win one of two Eureka AirSpeed EXACT Pet vacuums. Of course, if you'd prefer to just go out and buy one, they're available at your nearby Walmart. Check them out at this link for more details. You can enter using the Rafflecopter widget at the bottom of the post. If it's hiding, just coax it out by clicking on the post title. It will come out immediately to help you join in. Good luck to all of your furry families, and thank you for noting that this giveaway is for U.S. families only. I don't make the rules; but it's up to me to follow them. Thank you for your understanding :)

  1. Fur. Fur everywhere. Every year in late April when two of my dogs blow coat at the same time. : )

  2. Ashley is a shedder and my mother refuses to come over until I get a better vacuum. She gets so mad every time she comes in. I tend to get embarrassed when I have friends over too and my carpet has fur all over it that I have to get on my hands and knees to work out before vacuuming. I would be so grateful if I won. Good luck to everyone else. (Also thank you for the review, it has changed my mind on what I should get)

  3. we <3 how you show how great things work.. I shed my white fur all overs moms black stuff all the time... she should know Fur is her color... but she says she vacuums to keep the rest of the family happy

  4. Our spaniel insist on taking mouthfuls of kibble into the living room and spitting them out to eat it. She misses a lot of kibble since she is blind. She also shed like a beast in the spring and it would be great to use this on our furniture.
Love how Oliver sneaks to clean up a few treats here and there.
    Happy Monday!!

  5. Moulting season, once or twice a year; is a big battle to keep up with all the down and feathers

  6. Coat blowing season. Fur everywhere.

  7. Schooner is the BEST paper shredded in the world. He can shred a newspaper in the tiniest pieces ever. Skipper is the BEST in bring in mud...goes out and runs in the mud and comes running in leaving the paw prints all over the carpet!

  8. A vacuum that works on pet hair? Awesome!

  9. We have nine rescue dogs, three rescue kitties and a cockatoo. There is always fur and feather dust everywhere! Three of our rescued dogs blow their coats at least 3 times a year. It would be so awesome to win this to help with the fur everywhere and the feather dust. Thank you!

  10. it just rained and my parents where in town with thier dog also. they all 3 ran inside with muddy paws covered in mud running and fliping around on the carpet

  11. The worst mess ever is when my 2 dogs were sprayed by a skunk in the backyard. They came in through the doggie door and rubbed themselves on the couch, carpet pillows etc... before I figured out what was going on. This vacuum would have come in handy to clean up the baking soda mixture that I covered the furniture and carpets with.

  12. Every day is a day to use a vacuum like this at my house. I have five dogs and three cats, plus a daughter with butt-length hair, so you can just imagine how much fur and hair I have to clean up on a daily basis. Of course, it's even worse when it rains (or like now, with the huge piles of snow finally melting, and melting all at once) our yard gets really muddy, so not only do I have to vacuum, but mop daily!

  13. Oh, probably when they got into the garbage can in the kitchen (which is secured very well now) .....and took everything out all over the kitchen and living room! Oh..it was horrible!

  14. I have 2 hairy dogs and 2 hairy cats. I empty my vacuum 3 times during one vacuuming session.

    ReplyDelete
  15. It's a lot easier to handle mud if you block it off and let it dry on the carpet first. But a great vacuum is still necessary after it dries. Some days lately I think mine is giving up the ghost.

  16. Our vacuum is definitely not strong enough during shedding season - the Eureka would be great! :)

  17. My worse mess to clean up is the fur after a grooming session. I sit on the floor with my dogs when I brush them and I pick up as much as possible from the carpet, but it can be a lot depending on which dog! I could really put this vacuum to good use! :)

  18. My cat kicks litter out of the box all the time and that is the worst mess...

  19. all the fur from sleeping on the couch

  20. Shedding season! Everyday need a lint brush before heading out.

    ReplyDelete
  21. The kitties knock the dirt out of the pots of the house plants. If you don't catch them in the act, it is disastrous! The dog sheds like crazy when she is left home alone.

    ReplyDelete
  22. Oh we need a new vacuum! While our dog doesn't shed fur to bad, she does love to rip things apart, leaving little bits of fuzz, paper and cloth all over our carpets!

    ReplyDelete
  23. Well there is always the dogfur dust bunnies..hiding beneath the couch and my reading chair in addition ChazztheDog will bring little bits of his food into the living room lay it on the floor or the sofa! That's a mess to clean up.

    ReplyDelete
  24. Oh let's see that would be the cat tipping over a very large floor plant, the dogs getting into the dirt and then throw Zero opening up a cabinet door and the old lady Lucy took to the bag of flour on top of the dirt - all on a cream colored carpet!

    ReplyDelete
  25. The worst pet mess to clean up, besides all the fur from 7 dogs and a cat, is cat litter. Our cat, Shadow, tracks it everywhere and sometimes the dogs go in there too :( My vacuum doesn't suck it up off the floor so we have to sweep it. This can scratch the hardwood floors. When it gets on/in the carpet it is impossible to get out!

    ReplyDelete
  26. My biggest cleaning challenge is always hair.

    ReplyDelete
  27. Ugh... Just the hair!! Thats EVERYWHERE!

    ReplyDelete
  28. It would be tennis ball fur! My Brady loves to tear off the fur on tennis balls, it gets everywhere.

    ReplyDelete
  29. My little puppy was allergic to some new food we tried and she had really bad diarhea and just went all over my carpet! It was hours of cleaning and I still have to have a professional come in but the most important thing was that she was ok after a few hours and we never buy that food anymore!

    ReplyDelete
  30. I'd love to use the #EurekaPower on sucking up my two dog's hair. They shed like crazy and I find big clumps of hair in corners, etc.

    ReplyDelete
  31. Worst pet mess ever? A few years ago I was carrying the litter box down to the garage to fully dump out and then subsequently wash which I do every couple months to keep things fresh and as I made my way down the flight of stairs, I tripped and spilled the dirty litter all over my family room carpet. It was everywhere and I def could have used this vacuum for that.

    ReplyDelete
  32. I think the worst mess was when my cat tore all the dirt out of the cactus plant and threw it all over the tan colored carpet. I vacuumed dirt for days and days and days.

    ReplyDelete
  33. My biggest pet mess was when the cat somehow managed to turn the litter box on it's side and ALL of the litter ended up on the floor :/

  34. I get so many pet messes that need to be vacuumed up that this would be great for us. Between the fur of five dogs and three cats, I have a daughter with butt-length hair, and both she and I do a lot of sewing and crafts, so you can add threads, fabric scraps, and other items that I need to vacuum up.

    ReplyDelete
  35. I don't have a pet in the house, but I figure if this vacuum will pick up pet hair and other messes it will pick up regular house dirt really well. I have spilled snack chips in the floor with lots of little pieces that was hard to get up.

    ReplyDelete
  36. I don't have one specific horrible mess, but hair is always a big concern.

    ReplyDelete
  37. One time my dog got a jar of peanut butter I had left in my tote bag. Somehow she got the lid off and ate over a half a jar of peanut butter. Then she proceeded to regurgitate it all over the house...couch, rug, my pillow!!! so gross!

    ReplyDelete
  38. I desperately need a new one and cannot afford it - with Layla and her allergies it would be a blessing :)

    ReplyDelete
  39. All the hair on the furniture :(

    ReplyDelete
  40. My worst pet mess ever that I would LOVE to try out on this fabulous vacuum is: pet hair brushed out of our long hair golden/black lab that is always left behind on the carpet by the kids. And they don't tell me it's there so it gets tracked all over the place.

    ReplyDelete
  41. Ouch! I feel your pain, @Jennifer Pellicone. Our Xena was Golden Retriever, Lab/Chow. Long, thick black coat that was the worst ever for keeping up with. She needed lots of brushing to reduce shedding. Good luck!

  45. How about a chinchilla who apparently thinks that it is funny to throw his food pellets and his shavings out of his cage sll the time. I have had to put a mat around his cage so it stops going into the rug, ALways love your pets.

  46. dog fur all in my rug!

  47. Brutus the Boxer got into a fight with a bag of flour and lost. The living room furniture and carpets were COVERED. Her also got a lot of the rug goopy from trying to lick up the flour. It took hours to get it all cleaned.

  48. The biggest mess is pet hair all over.  We have 2 dogs and 5 cats that are all rescues.   Currently they are shedding their winter coats.   The pet hair is on tge floors and furniture.   My current vacuum cleaner has died and I need a new vacuum cleaner.

    ReplyDelete
  49. We recently got a puppy of our own and I forgot how much hair they can lose from fall to winter and winter to spring. We've had her hair all over rental cars and it's always been a pain to try to get off!

  57. Two large, double coated, mixed breed dogs. Dog hair everywhere and it goes all over the place.

    ReplyDelete
  58. My most recent worst pet mess would be Cahokia ripping up her expensive memory foam bed. The bed was made with little tiny bits of memory foam instead of a sheet so when she torn open the cover it was like a popcorn explosion. The foam managed to get it's self in all corners of the house, I'm even finding bits of it outside! It has long since been cleaned up but I'm still finding stray bits a week later.

    ReplyDelete
  59. I found so much cat hair under our couch that this vacuum would do great I am sure.

  60. I was lucky with Shiloh (and Cheyenne)- other than high shedding, they never really made any huge messes. But we just got a new puppy and Wager is a real ball of energy. I'm pretty sure he's part alligator, part demon, and I'm expecting some big messes from him!

    ReplyDelete
  61. Two dogs and a cat equals lots and lots of pet hair everywhere!

    ReplyDelete
  62. my worst mess was when my dogs got into the trash and dragged it all over our living room. that was a disaster

    ReplyDelete
  63. My worst mess was when we locked the dog in the bathroom instead of his kennel. We came back to find poop literally all over the room. It was way up on the walls, in the shower, on the counter, the window- everywhere!

    ReplyDelete
  64. Worse mess ever? Dog that had a violently bad case of explosive diarrhea!

    ReplyDelete
  65. My cat leaves hair everywhere. On the bed and rugs, it's very hard to clean.

    ReplyDelete

  68. came home from doing errands and the baby, 3, had taken all of the dead leaves as well as few live plants all over the living room, the covers were off the couches, the puppy pads were shredded, some of the toys had their stuffing out....it was a real mess, took over 3 hrs to clean up.

  69. I haven't had any horrific pet messes but I am constantly fighting the pet hair "tumbleweed" that rolls around in the floor and gathers on and under the furniture. I would love to have a Eureka AirSpeed vacuum to keep me from drowning in a sea of critter fur.

    ReplyDelete
  70. The worst mess I had was on the day after a big rain. My dog decided to roll in the muddy ditch along our road. Someone let him in without wiping him off. Needless to say, he left quite a trail.

    ReplyDelete
  71. I have a long hair cat and she leaves hair everywhere in my house and I have to sweep or vacuum daily to keep it off the floor and turniture

    ReplyDelete
  72. For carpet I love the Dyson DC39, but with the amount of dogs I have, the tubes, filters, and all parts of the vacuum get dirty and are unusable after a year or so. I go through a lot of vacuums. And DC39 is the best vacuum for pet hair. For hard floors, I use the DC39. It works really good at picking up dog hair after I use a broom.
