In this image, Scruffy is cuddling with this new "cat mermaid" costume. Now, if I tried to put this on my cat Patches, she would probably revolt with some combination of hissing, scratching, and biting. On the other hand, I know many cats who have the sweetest demeanors, and may not enjoy it, but will more than willingly allow their owners to dress them up like a mermaid. This cute little costume is covered all over with sequins and is one size fits most.

Here's Tanner with this adorable new toy and Halloween colored leash. This great little monster toy has plastic in his arms so it makes a fun noise and will keep your pup occupied for hours! It's belly also squeaks which will instantly get any dog's attention. This great leash comes equipped with an LED light which is great for taking your dog for a walk in the dark. This light is rechargeable either via solar power or USB cable. It is also water resistant and comes with a 90 limited warranty.

Scruffy (the stuffed dog) is wearing the skeleton costume... oooohh scary! It comes with the skeleton jacket (also a harness, super convenient!) as well as 4 small skeleton footies. The footies fit Oliver's foot perfectly, other sizes may be available in stores as well. Note that this costume includes a skeleton headpiece with ear holes included. I love the functional nature of this costume!

My fur baby will be dressing up as a Mississippi State Cheerleader.
ReplyDeleteMy fur baby probably weights 10lbs.
I'm entering for the Light Up Leash and
ReplyDeleteHalloween Toy because Artie and Kouga are both big dogs.
Artie wants to be a vampire this year and Kouga is going to be a king.
HAAA YOUR KIDS ARE THE CUTIEST MODELS!!!!! LOVE YAL SO MUCH

BOL! Tanner you look cute in that costume anyway!
Y'all come by now,
Hawk aka BrownDog
These costumes are so cute! I have a 18 pound cavalier, the giraffe would be so cute on him, also liked the firefighter on petcos site.
ReplyDeletelguilboATgmailDOTcom
My baby will be a skunk. She is 6 years old and 7 pounds of mixed goodness.
ReplyDeleteBentley and I are partnering up this year from the 50's era (Grease). Bentley weights ~11 lbs.
ReplyDeleteCocoa is being an angel (10 pounds) and Oreo.. well, besides being bad, is being spiderman (12 pounds).
ReplyDeleteMy dogs actually *like* dressing up- they get very excited when they see their costumes come out because they know it means they're going with me somewhere, usually where there will be lots of people to give them attention. Shiloh (~40lbs) usually goes dressed as a sheep- he's a Shetland SHEEPdog! Cheyenne (~40lbs) wears a big clock on her back and around her belly- she's a WATCH DOG! I'd share a picture if I could figure out how.
ReplyDeleteWe already have costumes, but we'd love to try the light up leash- adds fun and safety to trick or treating.
Oops, just saw where it said to email photos- done! I love showing off my dogs!
ReplyDeleteToby is a 5 lb imperial shihtzu and Sushi is a 20 lb peekipoo. Toby is going to be Alice from Alice in Wonderland and Sue is going to be Marilyn Monroe.

Jen Boehme
ReplyDeleteBelle is 52lbs & Sophia is a Pug at 21 pounds.
Not sure what they will be yet, still looking. But we are entering for the dog part of giveaway, thank you!
i like the skeleton outfit for blue i think he would look cute in it...I've never ever put him in an outfit before but this year im in the Halloween spirit. he is about 22lbs.
ReplyDeleteI've always wanted to dress my Maya up as Dorothy from the Wizard of Oz. I already have this cute handmade light blue dress so all I need is to make a brown wig out of yarn, and maybe a stuffed Cairn Terrier that she can carry around. Maya is a 65 pound Labrador.
ReplyDeleteSissy has a cheerleader outfit from last year that she will be wearing again this year. Sissy is a cocker spaniel/ corgi mix and is about 23 lbs. I also have a cat who would like to enter also. Reese's does not have a halloween costume :(
ReplyDeleteskelton
ReplyDeleteOh my. This is a nice halloween giveaway. Looking forward for this. This will look good for my 3 year old dog morpheus.
ReplyDeleteMy cocker spaniel Coco is going to be a Banana Split this year!!! Such a cute costume! She weighs 30 pounds.
ReplyDeleteIf I win the cat prize, my Bruin will be dressed as a mermaid! Her brother I think will be dressed as a super hero.
ReplyDelete(hoping to win the cat prize)
I don't know if I will be dressing my pets up this year, so nothing planned yet. As far as dog weights: 30 lbs, 60 lbs, and 105 lbs. I also have cats, so throw me into whichever category you'd like to! ;)
ReplyDeleteElla will be a mummy this year and Kandy a super hero. Ella is 6 lbs and Kandy is 28 lbs.
ReplyDeleteSkipper would really look handsome in the Giraffe costume. Skipper weights 50lb. Schooner would need a Hsaloween toys because Schooner weigh 78 lbs
ReplyDeleteSharon Gilbert- sjgilbert@aol.com
I've always thought my Scruffy, my poodle, would look cute in a dinosaur costume. Daisy and Bambi would be a princess and a prince so they would be matching chihuahuas. I also have 3 cats, but I never thought about dressing them up. Ruby is very elegant and royal, Callie is like a villain from Batman, and Biscuit reminds of me a mob gangster lol.
ReplyDeleteI planned on dressing my dog up as a security guard (she's not much for wearing clothes) but even tho she's only 30lbs, she is very plump for her breed so she tends to need XL sizes. so maybe the leash set is a bettet choice for her.
ReplyDeletebut my cat, Shadow, LOVES wearing clothes! She is also a blood donor and saves the lives of 2 kitties everytime she donates. She would put up with anything (she's super laid back).
So enter us for both kittie and doggie costumes please! If we won and it turned out not to fit we'd donate it for a shelter pet to catch the attention of a new owner :)
It's my baby beagle Bru's first Halloween! He's 5 months old and about 24 lbs. I want to go to Petco and have a mini-Halloween fashion show with all the outfits! I'd love to put him in something silly like the giraffe or dinosaur costume. I thought a devil was appropriate for him, too, since he's my 5 month old little puppy devil that misbehaves (sometimes!). OR since he's named after Tedy Bruschi, he might just be a football player! :)
ReplyDeleteI am not a fan of dressing up dogs, but I saw this astronaut costume... it would be perfect for Lulu! She is already a space cadet!
ReplyDeleteChristie from lifewithbeagle.com
The last time I weighed Beethoven he was 131lbs, sure he is bigger now, Roxy is probably about 27lbs, Molly is about 35lbs, Roxy usually wears medium or large and Molly usually wear extra large
ReplyDeleteI have dressed my 5 cats up for Halloween and took them to the Halloween parties several years in a row and some of them actually enjoyed it and they never really seemed to mind, Honey or Happy either one would look very cute as a Mermaid
I was thinking about letting Roxy and Molly be Cheerleaders, but Molly would look pretty cute as a Giraffe and I don't think I will be able to find Beethoven a costume big enough
ReplyDeleteRoxy is a jack Russell beagle mix, Molly is a corgi beagle mix, Beethoven is a saint Bernard Happy weighs about 8lbs, the rest of my cats are between 13 and 16lbs
ReplyDeletelast year my 3 girls went as 3 blind mice and i was the farmer's wife. i made their costumes as i usually do every year. i think this yr we are going as evie, the horse w/ a rider, tressa the cowgirl, and harley, indian princess and mom a cowgirl...we do themes...or might go as 3 little pigs, or witches of eastwick...i have been making the costumes for over 8 yrs...or more...my girls have won lots of times...we were on the local news this past sat. evie weighs abt 14 lbs, tressa and harley weigh abt 12.5 lbs. i have a poodle skirt, w/ pink sweater and pearl and pink sunglasses, mr & ms claus w/ long hair/beard, boots, grass/hula skirt w/ bra, joker, churabs, st. patty's day, v-day-love bugs...it is a lot of work, for 3 dogs...
ReplyDeleteI am always amused when I see animals wearing costumes; they are so cute! Halloween is definitely an occasion to do that, but unfortunately, in the country where I live (Mauritius), this celebration is not much practised. However, in a near future, I do hope enjoy celebrating Halloween and costume my dog! Thank you for sharing your overseas practices and useful tips ideas. Through your posts, we can notice the love you have for your dogs, and this is really nice to see.
ReplyDeleteShe is dressing up like the Twitter bird!
ReplyDeleteI can't decide between the Pumpkin Halloween Dog Costume (Small) or the Princess Halloween Dog Costume (Small). LOVE the cat costumes too, but not sure either of my cats would wear one!
ReplyDeleteAkiak is going to be "the wolf from Red Riding Hood, dressed as grandma" this year. She's about 75 lbs so store-bought costumes are challenging. She LOVES toys though, as does her newly adopted fur-brother (who is 59 lbs), Nico.
ReplyDeleteLu and Wally will be a k9 cop and a prisoner. Lu is 21 lbs and Wally is 17 lbs.
ReplyDeleteI would love the giraffe costume for my 25 lb pug Magoo :)

ReplyDeleteKayla, my 75 pound black lab, is going to be Snow White this year and my kitty, Oliver, will be her sidekick, Grumpy the dwarf!
ReplyDeleteI haven't decided what my dog will be yet, he grows every day. Max is 93.8 pounds
ReplyDeleteI'm trying to make/get an alligator costume for my German Shepard. She's currently 65 pounds and snaps her jaws when a fly is near, a la alligator style. The 35 pound chocolate mutt is going to be a shark, and will be seen eating my 2 year old child. We are a sick family. :-)
ReplyDeleteLulu is about 6 pounds, she's a chihuahua and dachshund mix so she's small but kind of long. Not as long as a full dachshund though, since she's chihuahua too. She'd wear about a size S. I haven't decided what I want her to wear for Halloween because I don't really have the money for it which is why I've been entering giveaways for her. I'd love for her to wear a costume, last year she was a princess and it was just so cute. I don't have a cat so I'm not aiming to win the mermaid costume but if no one claimed the cat costume, I'm sure it would fit Lulu since she is small. Thank you for the chance!
ReplyDeletePep has a 20 inch ribcage and weighs 13.5 pounds, all in her chest. LOL!! We'd like to enter for whatever you think would fit her. :)
ReplyDeleteso far, the only one we know for sure is one feline furbaby will be a geisha...we have cats and dogs (of all sizes) so could happily win either contest!

I like the Halloween Themed Sweater and my sweet Jack Russell is 10lbs.
ReplyDeleteI don't know that I will be dressing my canine fur-babies up this year. Since moving out to the country no one sees them dressed up. My Maggie Mae would fit into that mermaid costume, as I know she is under 12 lbs. I know it would also fit her kitty, BellaBoo. Yes, Bella is Maggie's kitty.
ReplyDeletehe going to be a devil in disguise
ReplyDeleteI have 4 dogs, a 15lb, a 25lb, and 2 that are about 32lbs. I dress my little one up as a princess this year, and I would like to find a pig and frog costume
