Working at home with my dogs sometimes proves challenging when I'm up against a deadline. Days like these are when I have to bring out my bag of tricks--those toys and activities that will keep the pups amused for longer periods of time, while I attend to other matters. Today's post is a shortened version of a photo illustration depicting the fun and challenging game of 'chase the treat ball'. If you don't have a treat ball like this, you're missing out on a wonderful entertainment for your family, as well as a great way to engage your dog in some mind-games, "How do I get the goodies to fall out of this ball?"
Tanner had one like this before, but one of his friends made off with it. :( He highly recommends it:

Sully and Smudge stay entertained chewing on toothbrushes!!! A great way to keep them occupied AND brush their teeth at the same time!!!

Thanks for the great idea Patti. With supervision, giving a toothbrush to a toy dog, like your two, is probably a great way to help them clean their own teeth. Oliver, my Papillon, has tough teeth to brush because his mouth is so small. I like this idea for him. I'll just have to watch out that Tanner does not pick up the tooth brush--big choke hazard for him.
I'll share this idea with our readers; thanks for the input. You always have clever tactics!
